NFL Network's Ian Rapoport hears that Packers RB Eddie Lacy's ankle injury is minor.  He has a shot to be ready for next Monday night's game against the Chiefs, per Rapoport.  The extra day will certainly help Lacy's chances but might also put fantasy owners in a tough spot if he ends up as a game-time decision.  RB James Starks is the Lacy handcuff.

X-rays on Packers RB Eddie Lacy's ankle came back negative, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.  That rules out a fracture, but Lacy is still very likely dealing with a sprain that could cost him games.  Dr. David Chao, a former NFL head team physician, guesses based on video of the injury that Lacy has a low-ankle sprain that will cost him 1-3 weeks.  Hopefully we'll get an official timeline from the team later today.

Packers RB Eddie Lacy suffered an ankle injury in the 1st quarter of Sunday night's game against the Seahawks.  He got re-taped on the sideline but was still unable to put much weight on the injured leg.  Lacy was then carted back to the locker room and is considered questionable to return.

Update: Lacy has been ruled out for the rest of the game.

Packers HC Mike McCarthy has decided to give up offensive play-calling duties, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.  McCarthy took heat for going ultra-conservative in the 4th quarter of Green Bay's NFC Championship Game loss to the Seahawks.  Per Rapoport, former OC Tom Clements will call plays in 2015, while former positional coach Edgar Bennett will get the "OC" title.  None of this is likely to have a noticeable impact on the Packers offense -- or the fantasy value of their skill-position players.

As expected, Packers QB Aaron Rodgers (calf) and RB Eddie Lacy (knee) are active for today's NFC Championship against the Seahawks.  Rodgers' injury is a much bigger concern than Lacy's.  It was pouring rain as of 1:30 pm ET in Seattle, which only makes it more likely that Green Bay goes run heavy.

Packers RB Eddie Lacy (knee) is probable for Sunday's game against the Seahawks.  He's just dealing with the normal wear and tear of a long season.  Green Bay will need a big game out of Lacy if it wants to leave Seattle with a win.  Lacy managed just 45 total yards on 15 touches vs. the Seahawks back in Week 1 but enters the rematch on a streak of 10 straight games with 100+ total yards.

Packers RB Eddie Lacy was added to Thursday's injury report as limited with a knee issue.  HC Mike McCarthy didn't sound concerned afterward.  "His knee is sore," McCarthy said. "I was just being conservative, so I pulled him in the middle of practice. He'll be ready to go. Coach was just nervous."  We'll update Lacy's status again tomorrow, but he should be ready to rock for Sunday's NFC Championship game. With a banged-up QB against a tough pass defense, the Packers should lean on Lacy this weekend.

An asthma attack sidelined Packers RB Eddie Lacy for a chunk of the 2nd quarter of Sunday's game against the Cowboys.  "You know your body is good enough to go out and play, but you just can't breathe," Lacy explained afterward. "And it's a breathing thing. It's not something you want to go out and risk... risk something bad happening. There's nothing I can do about it. It's a medical condition. I take my inhaler, I do everything I'm supposed to do. When it happens, it happens."  Lacy returned late in the 2nd quarter and played the 2nd half without issue.  He finished with 111 total yards on 20 touches -- his 10th straight 100-yard game.  Lacy might be the key to Green Bay's chances of leaving Seattle with a win this weekend.  The Seahawks held him to just 34 yards on 12 carries back in Week 1.

Packers RB Eddie Lacy is dealing with an irritated left eye as a result of an issue with his contacts.  "Let's just say I'm very blind," he said Thursday.  Lacy may need to wear goggles but is in no danger of missing this weekend's game against the Bucs.  He remains a high-end RB1 with Tampa Bay missing DT Gerald McCoy.

10:29am EST 12/14/14

Packers RB Eddie Lacy (hip) is active for today’s game against the Bills. The coaching staff will monitor his workload early on and then determine his role from there. It makes Lacy a riskier fantasy play than normal, but he still carries RB1 upside.

Packers RB Eddie Lacy (hip) is probable for this weekend's game against the Bills.  He won't be operating at 100%, and it's possible he cedes more action to James Starks than usual.  Buffalo also ranks 3rd in fantasy points allowed to RBs.  It's not a great spot for Lacy, so he's not a recommended play in daily games.  But you'd need to be stacked at RB to bench him in season-long leagues.

Packers RB Eddie Lacy (hip) admitted Thursday that he still has "hurdles to clear" before he can play against the Bills on Sunday.  It's unclear if he meant that he still needs clearance from doctors or that he still needs to feel more comfortable playing through the hip issue (or both).  Lacy added that he won't play if it'll put the team at a disadvantage.  It certainly sounds like there's a chance he sits out this weekend.  Lacy owners need to have RB James Starks rostered as insurance.

Packers RB Eddie Lacy (hip) was limited again on Thursday.  HC Mike McCarthy said that Lacy participated in drill work and teaching periods.  "He's making progress," McCarthy added.  Lacy appears on track to play against the Bills this weekend, but check back tomorrow for another update.

Packers RB Eddie Lacy (hip) put in a limited practice on Wednesday.  The fact that he got out there at all suggests he's in no danger of missing this weekend's game against the Bills.  Buffalo sits 3rd in fantasy points allowed to RBs on the season, but they rank just 17th over the past 5 weeks, allowing 4.6 yards per carry and 4 TDs during that stretch.  Lacy remains locked in as a RB1.

Packers HC Mike McCarthy said on Tuesday that he doesn't have "high concern" about RB Eddie Lacy's injured hip.  "He'll know more tomorrow morning," McCarthy added.  It sounds like Lacy avoided any serious damage, so his Week 15 availability will likely come down to soreness and pain.  Fantasy owners can tentatively expect Lacy to play against the Bills on Sunday.

Packers RB Eddie Lacy revealed that he was unable to finish last night's game against the Falcons because of a hip injury.  RB James Starks played the final series for Green Bay.  Lacy did say afterward that he expects to be ready for this weekend's game against the Bills, but his practice participation will be worth monitoring this week.  Lacy owners would be wise to add Starks.

Packers RB James Starks (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday.  The ankle injury isn't believed to be serious, but we can't consider him a lock to play against the Saints on Sunday night.  If he can't go, it'd be a nice boost to RB Eddie Lacy's Week 8 outlook.

2:12pm EDT 9/14/14

Packers RB Eddie Lacy (concussion) is active for today's game against the Jets.  He's in for a full workload and is a must-start in fantasy.

Packers RB Eddie Lacy (concussion) is officially listed as probable for Sunday's game against the Jets.  He'll be a full-go for that one and is a must-start in fantasy football.

Packers RB Eddie Lacy has been medically cleared from last week's concussion.  Lacy "looked good" in Thursday's workout, per HC Mike McCarthy.  As long as he avoids a setback over the next few days, he'll be a full go for this weekend's game against the Jets.  Despite another tough matchup, Lacy is a must-start in fantasy.
