Packers RB Eddie Lacy said after Friday's practice that his injured ankle feels "close to 100%."  The pain has subsided since last Sunday.  "We still have 48 hours between now and game time, so that’s definitely not a bad thing," Lacy added.  "I’m able to deal with it. It’s nowhere as painful as it was coming out finishing the second half. I can definitely use that mentally. I just know that when I go out there I’m going to be better than I was in the second half of the last game."  Lacy also said that he expects to be able to handle a full workload this weekend.  Get him into fantasy lineups against Dallas' 32nd-ranked RB defense.

Packers HC Mike McCarthy deemed RB Eddie Lacy (ankle) "ready to play" against the Cowboys this weekend.  McCarthy said Lacy "looked good" in his return to practice on Friday.  The ankle issue adds some risk, but Lacy has too much upside to consider benching in fantasy.  Dallas has allowed the most fantasy points to RBs in the entire league.  RB James Starks might see more action than usual on Sunday but would be a risky fantasy play.

Packers HC Mike McCarthy said Thursday that he “feels good” about RB Eddie Lacy’s status for this weekend’s game against the Cowboys.  Lacy continued his rehab work today but is expected to practice tomorrow.  Fantasy owners can go ahead and pencil him into fantasy lineups.  The ankle injury adds some risk, but a matchup with the league’s worst RB defense gives Lacy oodles of upside.

Packers RB Eddie Lacy (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday.  Don't expect him to practice much, if at all, this week.  But considering he played through the sprained ankle last Sunday, we're tentatively expecting him to be available for this weekend's game against the Cowboys.

Packers HC Mike McCarthy confirmed that RB Eddie Lacy suffered a sprained ankle in Sunday's game against the Falcons.  "Too early to tell" whether he'll be ready for Week 15, McCarthy added.  The injury occurred on the final play of the 1st half.  Lacy carried 9 times for 33 yards in the 2nd frame.  He actually averaged more yards per carry after the injury (3.7) than he did before (2.9).  Considering Lacy played through the injury on Sunday, we're tentatively expecting him to be available for this week's game against the Cowboys.  But Lacy owners would be wise to add RB James Starks as insurance.

Packers RB Eddie Lacy rolled his ankle on the final play of the 1st half of Sunday's game against the Falcons.  He returned for the 2nd but admitted that the ankle gave him trouble.  "I definitely couldn't push off of it as much as I wanted to," Lacy said. "I could feel it whenever I ran and, if I was healthy, I could have broken a couple of tackles. But I couldn't because I couldn't push off."  We'll monitor Lacy's status throughout this week.  He might not practice much but should be available for Sunday's game against the Cowboys.  Lacy owners can protect themselves by adding RB James Starks.

Packers RB Eddie Lacy injured his ankle on the final play of the 1st half of Sunday's game.  He was in the locker room when the 2nd half started but is now standing on the sidelines with his helmet on.  Lacy is officially questionable to return.  RB James Starks is operating as the lead back for now.

Update: Lacy got back on the field near the end of the 3rd quarter but again gave way to Starks.

Packers HC Mike McCarthy revealed that RB Eddie Lacy missed snaps late in Sunday's game against the Vikings due to his asthma.  "Definitely something we're aware of," McCarthy said.  "He told our staff, nothing he's concerned about."  This is something for Lacy owners to monitor both short and long term.  But it shouldn't be a major issue going forward.  Lacy still racked up 31 touches on Sunday, despite the asthma problem.

Packers RB Eddie Lacy left Sunday's game against the Vikings after reportedly having the wind knocked out of him.  He went to the locker room to get checked out and returned in OT, but he left again after 1 touch and was shaking his head as he went to the sideline.  We didn't see Lacy favoring any particular body part, so our best guess is a rib issue.  We'll certainly keep an eye on his status heading into a short Thanksgiving week.  Lacy beat up the Vikings before his injury.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that "initial tests" revealed a "small fracture" in Packers QB Aaron Rodgers' collarbone that could cost him 3 weeks.  Schefter adds that Rodgers will undergo additional testing to confirm that diagnosis.  It's relatively good news compared to what could have been a season-ending injury.  Green Bay's next 3 opponents are the Eagles, Giants and Vikings -- teams they can beat without A-Rodg.  QB Seneca Wallace is currently #2 on the depth chart, but the Packers have QB Scott Tolzien on the practice squad and could consider bringing back Matt Flynn or Vince Young.  None of those guys are worth adding in fantasy at this point.  The Packers figure to go run-heavy as long as Rodgers is out.  It's good news for RBs Eddie Lacy and James Starks but bad news for the pass-catchers.

The Green Bay Press Gazette reports that the team would like to decrease Packers RB Eddie Lacy's workload.  Don't worry about his fantasy value, though.  RBs coach Alex Van Pelt said the team wants to "try to get him back down to around 20" carries.  That's plenty of work with which to generate numbers.  Coaches just want to make sure Lacy doesn't keep climbing toward the 27 and 29 handoffs he garnered the past 2 weeks.  Van Pelt said the extra day of rest before the Week 9 Monday night clash with Chicago factored into Lacy staying in last week's game late against Minnesota to try to reach 100 yards.  As long as the staff stays mindful and doesn't wear down its rookie rusher, we love the fantasy outlook on Lacy.

10:32am EDT 10/6/13

Packers RB Eddie Lacy (concussion) is active for today’s game against the Lions.  He should see 15+ touches and has top-10 potential in a juicy matchup.

Packers RB Eddie Lacy (concussion) practiced all week and is probable for Sunday’s game against the Lions.  He should step right back in as the lead runner against a defense allowing 5 yards per carry.  Get Lacy into fantasy lineups.  RB James Starks (knee) is out, leaving Johnathan Franklin as Green Bay’s change-of-pace option.

Packers RB James Starks (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Lions.  We don't have any details on his injury, but HC Mike McCarthy said he'll probably be out "a couple weeks."  Rookies Eddie Lacy and Johnathan Franklin are Green Bay's top 2 RBs.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that Packers RB Eddie Lacy was a "full go" in practice Monday.  Lacy returned for the 1st time since suffering a concussion in Week 2.  He missed the team's Week 3 loss to Cincinnati ahead of the Week 4 bye.  In Lacy's absence, of course, RBs James Starks and Johnathan Franklin each put up 100 yards in less than 4 quarters of action.  That bodes very well for the team's top runner.  Lacy looks like a high-upside fantasy play going forward.

Packers RB Eddie Lacy (concussion) practiced on Monday.  If he hasn't been completely medically cleared, he's at least close.  Lacy should be ready for this weekend's game against the Lions.  We're curious to see how Green Bay's backfield operates coming out of the bye after RB Johnathan Franklin's impressive Week 3 performance.

RB Eddie Lacy (concussion) plans to play after the Packers come off their Week 4 bye.  "I have a bye week to still get right," he said. "When I get back, we’ll see where I go from there."  Lacy reportedly failed his last concussion test on Saturday, although he went through some warmups prior to Sunday's game.  With 2 weeks to get cleared, Lacy should move back into Green Bay's starting lineup against the Lions in Week 5.

10:31am EDT 9/22/13

As expected, Packers RB Eddie Lacy (concussion) is inactive for today’s game against the Bengals.  He made good progress this week and should be back after Green Bay’s Week 4 bye.  RB James Starks draws the start today.  Consider him a low-end RB2 against a stout Cincy run defense.  We’re interested to see if rookie RB Johnathan Franklin gets involved today.

Updating a previous item, Packers RB Eddie Lacy (concussion) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Bengals.  He was unable to practice all week, though, and should be considered a long shot to play this weekend.  Expect RB James Starks to serve as Green Bay's lead back.  He's a low-end RB2.

Packers RB Eddie Lacy (concussion) did not practice on Friday.  HC Mike McCarthy said that Lacy needed to practice to play, so we can rule him out for this weekend's game against the Bengals.  Lacy should be back in action after Green Bay's Week 4 bye.  RB James Starks will start in a tough matchup on Sunday.  He's a low-end RB2.
