It sounds like Alabama RB Eddie Lacy dropped into the 2nd round of the draft because of his lengthy injury history.  He was limited to just 7 games in his senior year in high school.  At Alabama, he dealt with toe, elbow and hand problems.  Pectoral and knee injuries kept him out of the Combine.  And then there was the bum hamstring. The Packers finally scooped him up with pick #61.  It's one of the better landing spots for Lacy's fantasy value.  He won't see 20+ carries per game on a pass-first offense that also added rookie RB Johnathan Franklin.  But Lacy should settle into the 12-14 range, including all the goal line work.  We'll see if he can stay healthy.

Everyone expected it to come a round earlier, but the Packers finally selected Alabama RB Eddie Lacy in Round 2.  Lacy watched 3 other RBs precede him off the board but might have landed in the best situation.  DuJuan Harris finished 2012 as the Packers' best RB.  Although that said plenty about his performance, it also said more than enough about Green Bay's need to build up its backfield.  Lacy brings injury questions, but even 15-carry average (240 for a full season) could deliver starter-level fantasy value.  A larger workload would turn him into a strong candidate for fantasy football rookie of the year.  He showed solid receiving and pass-blocking ability in limited college starting duty.
