The Chiefs have agreed with S Justin Reid on a 3-year, $31.5 million deal (with $20 million guaranteed), according to multiple reports. Still just 25 coming off his 4th pro season, Reid posted career-low fantasy production in 2021 amid injury and team issues. In K.C., he should occupy an upside IDP spot next to S Juan Thornhill. His arrival also almost certainly means that Tyrann Mathieu is heading elsewhere in free agency.

Texans S Justin Reid came away from Sunday's loss to the 49ers with "slight" ankle and knee injuries, according to Aaron Wilson of Sportstalk 790 in Houston. DE Jonathan Greenard also left the game with a shoulder injury. We'll see about the status for each player this week.

Texans S Justin Reid left Sunday's loss to the Seahawks with a concussion, HC David Culley confirmed after the game. CB Desmond King left the game for the same reason, but Culley said afterward that King did not actually sustain a concussion. So he should be ready for next Sunday's game at Jacksonville. Reid will need to pass through the league protocol before returning.

The Texans have made S Justin Reid a healthy scratch for today's game against the Jets. According to multiple reports, it's a disciplinary measure after Reid violated team rules. A.J. Moore looks like the fill-in for Reid. Eric Murray is the top IDP option in the Houston secondary, though.

Texans S Justin Reid (knee) is inactive for tonight’s game against the Panthers. Houston lists Terrance Brooks as his backup.

Texans S Justin Reid is questionable for Thursday night's game against the Panthers. Reid left Sunday's game early with a knee injury and then missed the 3 days of practice on this short week. We'll check his status ahead of game time. The short week should probably factor into your starting decision, though, even if he's active.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Texans S Justin Reid will miss the rest of the season after suffering a hand injury in Sunday's loss to the Bears. A.J. Moore looks like the fill-in for Reid but doesn't make for a good Week 15 bet in IDP lineups.

The Texans have ruled S Justin Reid (concussion) out for Thursday night's game against the Colts. S Tashaun Gipson (back) and CB Bradley Roby (hamstring) are questionable. Gipson returned for last week's loss to Baltimore after missing the previous 2 contests. Roby has missed the past 4 games.

Texans S Justin Reid suffered a concussion in Sunday's loss to the Ravens. The Thursday night matchup with Indianapolis makes it almost certain that Reid will miss at least a game. We'll see about Reid's status heading into Week 13. Jahleel Addae saw elevated playing time against Baltimore and would likely start in Reid's place against the Colts.

Houston made its 1st pick of the 2018 NFL Draft by taking S Justin Reid in the 3rd round. Some draft analysts projected Reid as a potential 1st-rounder, but ESPN's Louis Riddick pointed out a propensity to give up big plays. We don't mind that as IDP owners, as long as he can put up numbers. Texans safeties haven't done much of that in a while, though, so don't get over-excited.
