Steelers WR Martavis Bryant is expected to be sidelined about 10 days after undergoing a "minor procedure" for an elbow infection, per insider Ross Jones.  It sounds like just a small speed bump for a guy who's been zooming up fantasy football draft boards.  Bryant will likely miss the Hall of Fame Game next Sunday but should be back for the 2nd or 3rd exhibition.  As long as this absence doesn't extend beyond that, Bryant's fantasy stock will be unaffected.

Steelers WR Martavis Bryant is drawing raves early in camp.  He's reportedly bulked up to 225 pounds -- 14 over his 2014 Combine weight -- and has been tearing it up on the practice field.  "Bryant is going to be a star this year for the Steelers," Yahoo's Charles Robinson tweeted after attending training camp. "He looks amazing."  NFL Network's Albert Breer added that the coaching staff is "thrilled" with Bryant's progress.  We're certainly intrigued by his upside in a starting role in a high-powered passing game.  The issue is that Bryant usually comes off the board in Round 5 -- and his ADP will climb if he continues to buzz in August.  Much of his upside is already priced in at that point.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport calls the separated shoulder Steelers WR Martavis Bryant suffered on Thursday night "relatively minor."  He's only expected to be sidelined "a few days."  Bryant still won't have a significant offensive role to start the season and is off the redraft radar.

Steelers WR Martavis Bryant suffered a right shoulder injury in Thursday night's preseason finale.  No word yet on the severity.  The 4th-round rookie finishes the preseason with 6 catches for 68 yards and a score.  He'll open the year as Pittsburgh's 4th or 5th WR and is off the redraft radar.  His combination of size and athleticism makes him worth stashing in dynasty leagues.

The Steelers will give 4th-round rookie WR Martavis Bryant a shot to start in 2014.  "I'm not going to say that he is going to start, but potentially he could," WRs coach Richard Mann said.  "We feel like we got a guy to put opposite of Antonio Brown.  We were delighted we were able to get him. Felt like a second-, third-round guy."  Free-agent addition Lance Moore is best off as a #3 WR at this point of his career.  And 2013 3rd-rounder Markus Wheaton remains unproven.  Still, we're skeptical Bryant will win the #2 job.  He had just 1 year of significant college production and is considered a raw prospect.  He's more likely to serve as a situational deep threat in 2014.  Bryant will certainly be worth monitoring this summer, though.  He goes 6'4, 211 pounds with 4.4 speed.

The Steelers used their 4th-round pick on WR Martavis Bryant.  We highlighted the Clemson product in our Day 3 Sleepers article.  Bryant is a 6'4, 211-pounder with 4.4 speed and a 39-inch vertical.  NFL Network's Mike Mayock called him a 1st-round talent that dropped because of character concerns and only 1 season of college production.  If the light flicks on for this guy, though, he could be a steal for Pittsburgh. Bryant figures to serve as a situational deep threat to open his career but could quickly push for a larger role.
