Miami Dolphins Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Dolphins RB Myles Gaskin has been placed on the COVID list. It's unclear if he tested positive for the virus, but he's out for at least this weekend's game vs. the Chiefs. RB Matt Breida is also on the COVID list, while RB Salvon Ahmed is out with his shoulder injury. Miami is down to RBs Patrick Laird, DeAndre Washington and Elijah McGuire, who was just elevated from the practice squad. It's anyone's guess as to how touches will be divvied here, so it's a situation to try to avoid in Week 14 fantasy lineups.

Update: ESPN's Field Yates reports that Gaskin tested positive for COVID, so he'll likely miss Week 15, too.

Dolphins RBs Salvon Ahmed (shoulder) and Matt Breida (COVID) are out for Sunday’s game against the Chiefs. That leaves DeAndre Washington and Patrick Laird to back up Myles Gaskin, who was back in a feature role last week.

Dolphins WRs DeVante Parker and Mack Hollins were ejected in the 2nd half of Sunday's game against the Bengals after a scuffle broke out. Parker finishes with 4 catches for 35 scoreless yards on 8 targets.

Dolphins RBs Salvon Ahmed (shoulder) and DeAndre Washington (hamstring) are inactive for today’s game against the Bengals. RB Matt Breida (COVID) is also out, leaving Miami’s backfield to Myles Gaskin and Patrick Laird. Assuming Gaskin’s knee is somewhere close to 100%, he should step back into a workhorse role.

Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa (thumb) is officially active for today’s game against the Bengals. The rookie has finished 28th, 17th and 16th among QBs in fantasy points in his 3 starts this season. Despite today’s plus matchup, Tua remains just a QB2.

Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa (thumb) is expected to start against the Bengals today, "assuming all goes well in warmups," according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Tagovailoa reportedly took most of the 1st-team reps in practice this week. The rookie has been OK for Miami but underwhelming for fantasy football, averaging just 170 yards and 1.7 TDs on 25 pass attempts through 3 full games. Despite the plus matchup vs. Cincinnati, Tua is just a QB2. He's also bad news for WR DeVante Parker, who's averaged 3.8 catches and 40 yards in Tagovailoa's starts vs. 5.3 catches and 63 yards with QB Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Dolphins RB Myles Gaskin (knee) has been activated from IR. That puts him on track to return for Sunday's game against the Bengals. Gaskin averaged 16.8 carries and 4.8 targets over his last 5 games and has a shot to see a similar workload tomorrow with RBs Salvon Ahmed, DeAndre Washington and Matt Breida all likely sidelined. It puts Gaskin right back in the RB2 mix.

Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa (thumb) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game against the Jets after a limited week of practice. HC Brian Flores said earlier in the week that he might not decide on his starting QB until Sunday. Miami’s offense has been better this season with Ryan Fitzpatrick at the helm.

Dolphins RBs Salvon Ahmed (shoulder) and DeAndre Washington (hamstring) are listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Bengals. RB Matt Breida, meanwhile, missed Friday's practice with an illness that HC Brian Flores declined to say was COVID related or not. Flores also said that the team is still deciding whether to bring back RB Myles Gaskin (knee) for this weekend's game. If Gaskin is activated, he'd likely step back in as Miami's clear lead back and be in the RB2 mix. If not, Miami could be left with only RB Patrick Laird. We have to imagine they'd go pass-heavy in that case.

Dolphins HC Brian Flores said he won't decide until Sunday whether QB Tua Tagovailoa (thumb) can start against the Bengals. He added that the rookie remains the starter if he's 100% healthy. Miami's offense has simply been better with QB Ryan Fitzpatrick, though. DeVante Parker owners should certainly be hoping that we get another week of Fitz.

Texans WR Will Fuller announced that the league has suspended him for 6 games under the PED policy. With just 5 games left in the regular season, that means the start wideout is done for the year. Fuller currently leads Houston by 1 reception and 160 yards. The team just waived Kenny Stills, who cleared waivers today. So bringing him back could be an option. Otherwise, Brandin Cooks becomes the clear lead wideout. Randall Cobb just landed on IR with a toe injury, so he's out for at least 2 more games. Keke Coutee appears in line for a big role bump, with rookie Isaiah Coulter the next man up. The practice squad also includes 3 wideouts with some NFL experience: Damion Ratley, Chad Hansen and Artavis Scott. Losing Fuller undeniably lowers the fantasy ceiling for QB Deshaun Watson, though he'll remain among our top 12 the rest of the way. It also leaves targets potentially available for the TEs and RBs. We'll see how this situation develops over the next few days, with a Week 13 clash with the Colts looming.

Dolphins WR Jakeem Grant (hamstring) is active for today’s game against the Jets. He was added to the injury report on Thursday and limited in the final 2 practices of the week, so there’s elevated risk here. But there’s also plenty of upside in the plus matchup — especially with QB Ryan Fitzpatrick back at the controls.

Dolphins QB Tua Tagavailoa (thumb) is inactive for today’s game against the Jets. Ryan Fitzpatrick is back under center for Miami and is a viable Week 12 spot starter in this plus matchup. Fitz posted a 191-3-2 passing line vs. the Jets back in Week 6.

Dolphins RB Myles Gaskin (knee) won't be activated from IR and will miss Sunday's game against the Jets, ESPN's Cameron Wolfe reports. With RB Salvon Ahmed also out, Miami is down to RBs Matt Breida, DeAndre Washington and Patrick Laird. We're guessing that Breida leads the way in touches tomorrow -- but it's just a guess. You should try to avoid the situation in fantasy lineups.

The Dolphins have downgraded QB Tua Tagovailoa from questionable to doubtful for Sunday's game against the Jets. He hurt his left (throwing) thumb in practice this week. His likely absence will push Ryan Fitzpatrick into the starting lineup. He's a more intriguing fantasy option in the high-upside matchup with the Jets than the rookie QB was.

Dolphins QB Tua Tagavailoa (thumb) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Jets. This injury is to his throwing thumb. HC Brian Flores wouldn’t say on Friday whether Tua will be able to play this weekend. QB Ryan Fitzpatrick will draw back in if the rookie is out.

Dolphins WR Jakeem Grant (hamstring) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game against the Jets. He was added to the injury report on Thursday and limited in the final 2 practices of the week. Grant at less than 100% should probably be avoided in Week 12 fantasy lineups.

Dolphins RB Salvon Ahmed (shoulder) is out for Sunday's game against the Jets. RB Myles Gaskin (knee) returned to practice this week, but HC Brian Flores wouldn't say Friday whether Gaskin will be able to play this weekend. We'll look for updates on his status. Matt Breida, Patrick Laird and DeAndre Washington are Miami's healthy RBs right now.

Dolphins RB Salvon Ahmed has missed the first 2 practices of the week with a shoulder injury. We'll see what he's able to do tomorrow, but his status for Sunday's game against the Jets is in doubt. RB Myles Gaskin (knee) is eligible to return this week, although it's unclear if he's ready. Matt Breida, Patrick Laird and DeAndre Washington are Miami's healthy RBs right now.

Dolphins QB Tua Tagavailoa has been limited in practice this week with an injury to his left (throwing) thumb. "He’s getting treatment, rehabbing, we’ll see how this goes," HC Brian Flores said. "It’s sore. but he’s a tough kid. He’s played through some stuff before ... We’re going to take this one day at a time. .... We all have to be ready to be adjust and be flexible and have contingency plans." QB Ryan Fitzpatrick would draw back in for Miami against the Jets on Sunday if Tagovailoa can't go.
