Adams, Mayowa out vs. 49ers

Seahawks S Jamal Adams (groin) and DE Benson Mayowa (ankle) are inactive for today's game against the 49ers. Adams' continued absence keeps Ryan Neal in the starting lineup. Neal is active after hitting the day questionable with a hamstring issue.

Seahawks S Jamal Adams returned to a limited practice Friday for the 1st time since suffering his groin injury back in Week 3. He's officially questionable for Sunday's game against the 49ers and will reportedly be a game-time decision. A healthy Adams has showed a high fantasy ceiling, but it's tough to count on him here. Adams replacement Ryan Neal is also questionable after sustaining a hamstring injury during the practice week. He left Thursday's workout early but returned for another limited practice Friday. Also questionable is DE Benson Mayowa (ankle). We'll check the status of all 3 when inactives come out Sunday. Seattle has ruled out CB Shaq Griffin (concussion, hamstring), which will keep CB Tre Flowers in the lineup.

Seahawks S Jamal Adams (groin) will miss his 3rd straight game Sunday night against the Cardinals. Ryan Neal will start again in his place and looks like an IDP starter. He has defensed 4 passes including 2 INTs over 3 games: 2 starts and 35% of the snaps in the game Adams left early. Neal has also been a good bet for tackles, though he hasn't matched Adams' pass-rushing opportunities.

The Seahawks don't yet know whether S Jamal Adams will be ready to return for Sunday's game at Arizona. "It's a long season, and we'd love to have him back as soon as we can get him but we want him back when he's right and back for the long haul," HC Pete Carroll said Monday, according to Seahawks Wire. Adams missed the past 2 games with a groin injury, before Seattle's Week 6 bye. If he can't play in Week 7, then Ryan Neal would fill in once again. Neal has tallied 14 tackles (11 solo) over the past 2 games -- plus 3 passes defensed, including an INT. Neal would be in play for IDP lineups if Adams sits again.
