Raiders RB Josh Jacobs was arrested for DUI in Vegas early Monday morning, according to ESPN's Paul Gutierrez. Jacobs was brought to a hospital for minor injuries after police responded to his 1-car crash. Jacobs' lawyers released a statement saying their client will plead not guilty. "No complaint has been filed against our client and there are no blood test results to support a suggestion of impairment," the statement reads. "We intend to enter a not guilty plea on behalf of Mr. Jacobs if he is ever charged." We'll see where the situation goes this offseason.
Raiders HC Jon Gruden said Monday that he's "not confident" RB Josh Jacobs (ankle) will be able to return for Sunday's game against the Colts. So it's looking like his ankle injury is more serious than initially reported. RB Devontae Booker's fantasy production was disappointing as Vegas' lead back vs. the Jets, but he did handle 16 of 23 RB carries and 2 of 4 RB targets. The tough matchup vs. Indianapolis will leave him as a low-end RB2 for Week 14, though.
Raiders RB Josh Jacobs (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Jets. His injury reportedly isn't serious, so he would seem to have a good shot to return for Week 14. His absence this week leaves RB Devontae Booker as Vegas' lead back. He's been good this season, averaging 5.5 yards per carry and ranking 21st in Pro Football Focus' Elusive Rating among 65 RBs with 50+ carries. Booker might lose some passing-down work to RBs Jalen Richard and/or Theo Riddick, but he's a good bet for 15+ carries in a good spot vs. the Jets.
Raiders RB Josh Jacobs (ankle) remained sidelined on Thursday. His injury reportedly isn't serious, but he's starting to look very iffy for this weekend's game against the Jets. His absence would leave Devontae Booker as Vegas' lead back in a good spot. Check back tomorrow for another update on the situation.
Raiders RB Josh Jacobs (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday. His injury reportedly isn't serious, but he's not a lock to play against the Jets this weekend. We'll see if he's able to get back on the field on Thursday. Jacobs' absence would turn RB Devontae Booker into a plug-and-play fantasy starter.
Raiders RB Josh Jacobs' ankle injury "looked worse than it is," according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Jacobs is scheduled for additional testing on Monday to get a better look at the sprain. We'll see if he's able to play against the Jets this weekend, but backup RB Devontae Booker is definitely worth a scoop-and-stash.
Raiders RB Josh Jacobs didn't practice on Thursday and is on the injury report with a knee and illness. We're guessing it's the illness that kept Jacobs out after he was a full-go on Wednesday, but his status is worth checking back on tomorrow.
Raiders RB Josh Jacobs (hip) and TE Darren Waller (knee) missed practice again on Thursday. We still haven't heard anything on their supposed injuries and still wonder if Vegas is just taking it easy on their offensive centerpieces on the short week. But Jacobs and Waller's Week 3 statuses can no longer be taken for granted. Check back tomorrow for another update.
Raiders RB Josh Jacobs posted videos of himself in a hospital gown and with a bandage on his lower leg on Wednesday night. “Surgery went great fastest surgery ever," the rookie wrote. We don't have any other details on the situation right now. But between the surgery and his lingering shoulder injury, Jacobs seems unlikely to play in Sunday's finale against the Broncos.
Raiders RB Josh Jacobs will miss Sunday's game against the Chargers because of his shoulder injury, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. That makes DeAndre Washington a solid RB2 for fantasy football lineups. Washington tallied 96 total yards in the Week 14 loss to Tennessee with Jacobs inactive. That included 6 catches on 7 targets, both well above Jacobs' receiving usage this season. The Chargers hit Week 16 ranked 23rd in run defense by Football Outsiders and 17th in pass coverage vs. RBs.
Raiders HC Jon Gruden admitted that RB Josh Jacobs' status for Week 16 and beyond is "in question." Jacobs battled through his shoulder injury in the loss to Jacksonville, carrying 24 times for 89 yards and catching 2 of 3 targets for 30 yards. But it sounds like the Raiders are considering shutting the rookie down now that they've been eliminated from playoff contention. We'll keep an eye on the situation this week, but RB DeAndre Washington should be owned in all leagues. He'd be in the RB2 mix for Week 16 if Jacobs sits.
Raiders RB Josh Jacobs (shoulder) is active for today’s game against the Jaguars. He was limited in practice all week, but both HC Jon Gruden and OC Greg Olson said the rookie looked good. There’s obviously elevated risk to a guy playing through a fractured shoulder. But Jacobs has reportedly been dealing with the injury since Week 7. And this matchup is pristine.
Raiders RB Josh Jacobs is questionable with the shoulder injury that kept him out last week, but NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that he's "good to go" for today's game against the Jaguars. The matchup gives Jacobs a high ceiling and should put him into nearly all fantasy football lineups where he's owned.
Raiders RB Josh Jacobs (shoulder) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game against the Titans. He’s been playing through this injury since Week 7 but only got in a limited practice on Friday. HC Jon Gruden said Jacobs “didn’t do much” in that practice and didn’t commit to the rookie playing vs. Tennessee. We’ll look for an update on the situation on Sunday morning. Jacobs’ absence would leave Oakland with RBs DeAndre Washington and Jalen Richard. Gruden also mentioned FB Alec Ingold as a candidate for carries. It’d be a situation to avoid in fantasy lineups.
Raiders RB Josh Jacobs missed his 2nd straight practice on Thursday. We learned earlier this week that he fractured his shoulder back in Week 7. Jacobs has been playing through that injury, but it's possible that he re-aggravated it last week. At this point, the rookie's Week 14 status is up in the air. Check back tomorrow for another update.
Raiders RB Josh Jacobs says he's been playing through a fractured right shoulder suffered in Week 7. "I just play on it," he wrote in a social media post. The rookie has been listed on the injury report every week since but hasn't missed a game. In fact, Jacobs has averaged an identical 18.2 carries per game both before and after the injury. We'll continue to keep an eye on the situation, but Jacobs should remain in fantasy lineups until further notice.
Raiders RB Josh Jacobs (shoulder) is active for today’s game against the Texans. He suffered this shoulder injury early in last week’s game in Green Bay and returned to tally 124 yards on 21 carries. So we’re expecting the rookie to see his normal workload today.
Raiders RB Josh Jacobs (shoulder) is expected to play against the Texans today, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The rookie only got in a limited practice on Friday but played -- and played well -- through this shoulder injury last week. He remains a solid RB2 in Week 8 fantasy lineups.
Raiders RB Josh Jacobs (shoulder) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game against the Texans after only getting in a limited practice on Friday. The rookie played through this injury last week, though, and HC Jon Gruden said that he expects Jacobs to play. Raiders-Texans is a 4:25 pm ET kickoff, so we’ll look for an update on Jacobs’ status Sunday morning. If he’s unable to play, we’d likely get a committee backfield with DeAndre Washington and Jalen Richard.
