Browns DE Jadeveon Clowney is active for tonight's game against the Broncos. He entered questionable with multiple injuries but should be good to go or an upside sack matchup.
The Browns have agreed to a 1-year, $11 million deal with DE Jadeveon Clowney, NFL Network reports. Ian Rapoport adds that Clowney turned down multi-year deals from other teams in the range of $14-15 million per year. Clowney will reprise his role as left DE opposite Myles Garrett. Clowney has double-digit upside but has yet to reach 10 in an NFL season.
The Browns on Friday added DE Jadeveon Clowney to the COVID list after he tested positive. That will knock him out of Saturday's game against the Raiders. It's not clear who will fill in for Clowney, as the only DE remaining on the active roster is Myles Garrett. Porter Gustin, Joe Jackson and Curtis Weaver are candidates on the practice squad.
Browns DE Jadeveon Clowney (ankle, groin, knee) is active for today's game against the Steelers. He'll be a risky IDP option, though, dealing with multiple injuries that kept him out of practice all week.
Browns DE Jadeveon Clowney is questionable for Thursday night's game against the Broncos. He's listed with ankle, chest and knee issues but put in limited practice participation throughout this condensed week. Clowney played through a questionable tag or his normal snap share Sunday against the Cardinals. So we'd bet on him playing. But we'll update his status when Thursday night inactives are announced.
The Browns have agreed to a 1-year deal with DE Jadeveon Clowney, worth up to $10 million, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Clowney played in just 8 games in his lone season with the Titans, registering no sacks before landing on IR for meniscus surgery. Pro Football Focus credited him with a solid 28 total pressures, though. In Cleveland, Clowney should find a positive situation. He figures to line up opposite DE Myles Garrett along a talented D-line. Clowney's mere 3 total sacks in 2 years since leaving Houston should also keep his ADP down in IDP fantasy football leagues. Clowney looks like he'll be a low-risk, high-upside DL option come draft time. He's heading into just his age-28 season.
