The Dolphins have signed RB Duke Johnson to their practice squad. The 28-year-old spent a couple of weeks on Jacksonville's practice squad in September but has otherwise been unemployed since being released by the Texans in February. There's opportunity in after RB Malcolm Brown was placed on IR, but Johnson is only worth adding in the deepest of fantasy leagues right now. We'll see if he gets promoted to the active roster.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the Bills are releasing RB Duke Johnson. This comes as no shock, with Devin Singletary, James Cook and Zack Moss emerging as the clear top 3 in the backfield. Schefter adds that Buffalo is interested in stashing Johnson on the practice squad if he doesn't sign elsewhere.

Skurski’s expectation is that Devin Singletary, James Cook, Zack Moss and RB/ST ace Taiwan Jones will make the team. Johnson, 28, signed a 1-year deal this offseason with only $377K guaranteed.

McKissic last week before he opted to return to Washington, so the team is clearly looking to add depth behind RBs Devin Singletary and Zack Moss. Johnson spent much of last year unsigned or on Miami's practice squad. But he flashed late with 312 yards and 3 TDs on 4.7 yards per carry over the final 4 games of the season. Johnson turns 29 in September and probably isn't a candidate for lead duties in Buffalo. But he could siphon touches from Singletary.

Dolphins RB Duke Johnson has been promoted to the active roster. He'll presumably be active for tomorrow's game vs. the Jets, alongside RBs Myles Gaskin and Salvon Ahmed. We wouldn't expect Johnson to steal more than a few touches from Gaskin.

After watching 3 more RBs get banged up in Sunday's victory at Philadelphia, the 49ers are having free agents Duke Johnson and Lamar Miller in for visits this week, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. We'll see whether anyone signs and what the statuses are for the Niners' existing stable. San Francisco already has Kerryon Johnson on the practice squad as well.
