The Giants have placed EDGE Azeez Ojulari on IR after he suffered a setback with his calf injury this week, according to ESPN's Jordan Ranaan. The 2nd-year player had already missed the previous 2 games. He'll now sit out for at least the next 4. Edge players Oshane Ximines and Jihad Ward stand to benefit from Ojulari's absence. Ximines is out for today's game against the Jaguars with a quad injury, which should leave Ward and Kayvon Thibodeaux playing large snap shares. The Giants also plan to play S/LB Landon Collins for the 1st time since signing him ahead of the Week 5 win over the Packers. We'll see how large a role Collins commands amid an evolving LB corps.
Giants Edge Azeez Ojulari left Sunday's loss to the Dolphins with an ankle injury. He has already lost time to a hamstring injury this year and supplied little production when he has made it onto the field. Ojulari isn't worth much IDP attention right now.
Giants Edge Azeez Ojulari (hamstring) is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Cardinals. He did manage limited practices all week, so we'll see whether Ojulari can make it back for Week 3. Jihad Ward figures to join Kayvon Thibodeaux as the top edge players for the Giants. Ward has just 13 career sacks through seven seasons. There's upside to the Arizona matchup, but he's not worth the risk. Isaiah Simmons interestingly spent a little more than half of his defensive playing time on the edge in Week 1. He could factor more into the scheme against his old team. But he also played just 15 defensive snaps in the opener. He'd need a lot more playing time to be worth considering for your IDP lineup.
Giants EDGE Azeez Ojulari (ankle) and S Xavier McKinney (hand) are active for today's game against the Colts. Both carry IDP upside against a struggling offense. McKinney sits higher in our Week 17 IDP rankings, at their respective positions.
Giants EDGE Azeez Ojulari left Saturday's loss to the Vikings with an ankle injury and was ruled out before the end of the game. He said post-game X-rays came back negative, though. Ojulari said he was "sore" but that he hoped to be ready for the Week 17 meeting with the Colts. We'll see about his status this week.
