Shark Bites

Ravens RB Justice Hill (foot) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. It gives him a shot to play vs. the Browns this weekend, but we'll see how he's listed on Friday's final injury report. RB Gus Edwards (concussion) put in another full practice on Thursday.

Recent Shark Bites

Monday night’s game vs. the 49ers gave fantasy managers a chance to see how the Ravens would split their RB workload after rookie Keaton Mitchell sustained a season-ending ACL injury in Week 15. Baltimore ended up favoring Justice Hill, who saw a team-high 13 touches and logged his second-highest snap share (62%) of the season. Teammate Gus Edwards was also involved (70 total yards, 1 rushing TD) and saw all three of the Ravens’ RB touches from inside the five-yard line on Monday night, per PFF. Managers looking ahead to Week 17 can feel good about starting both Hill and Edwards as RB3/flex options, though it’d be better to lean toward Edwards if you’re picking between them. They’ll be set to face a Dolphins defense that ranks as the sixth-toughest matchup per our adjusted fantasy points allowed, though Miami is tied for seventh-most red zone rushing TDs allowed (14) this season. Banking on Edwards, the goal-line option, is the more optimal play.

Ravens RB Justice Hill tallied a team-high 13 carries in Sunday's win over the Seahawks. He took those for just 40 yards (3.1 per rush), though, ranking fourth on the team in that category. Don't read too much into that workload, though. Hill, Gus Edwards, and rookie Keaton Mitchell all finished the first half with 4 carries. Edwards ran just one more time after the break before sitting out the rest of the game. Mitchell led Hill 9-8 in carries before Hill claimed the team's final 5 RB rushing attempts of the game. That came with QB Tyler Huntley in the game, after Baltimore pulled Lamar Jackson amid a lopsided victory. Hill also drew just a single target, which fell incomplete. It was Mitchell's first game of significant use. And we're guessing the Ravens took the opportunity to rest Edwards for the second half because of the toe issue that kept him out of Wednesday's practice. Hill will need to do more to become a fantasy option again. Mitchell looks more interesting for Week 10 waivers.

Ravens RB Justice Hill (foot, hamstring) is active for today’s game vs. the Steelers. He practiced all week, including a full workout on Friday. But Hill is a risky fantasy play after totaling just three carries on seven snaps last week.

Ravens RB Justice Hill (foot, hamstring) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Steelers. He practiced all week, including a full workout on Friday, so he should play. But Hill would be a risky fantasy start after totaling just three carries on seven snaps last week.

Ravens RB Justice Hill was limited in Wednesday's practice with foot and hamstring injuries. He played just seven snaps with the foot injury last week and now has this hamstring issue. We'll see what Hill does in practice over the next couple of days, but he's not looking like a good Week 5 fantasy play.
