Vikings WR Jordan Addison has been ruled out with a right ankle injury for Week 2. Addison injured his left ankle during training camp and dealt with that injury for most of camp. In Week 1, Addison injured his right ankle and did not practice all week.
Adam Schefter of ESPN: "Vikings ruled out WR Jordan Addison for Sunday’s game against the 49ers due to his ankle injury."
Addison missed a majority of Week 1 after injuring his right ankle and now will be out for Week 2.
The biggest impact means a bit more of relying on the run game with Aaron Jones and Ty Chandler as well as even more targets to Justin Jefferson.
The 49ers did show some weakness against the run and Breece Hall in Week 1, so expect that to be the focal point this week for the Vikings offense.
The Vikings will turn to Jalen Nailor, who we outlined in our Waiver Wire article this week, as well as Brandon Powell to fill in for Addison.
We will keep an eye on Addison's status heading into Week 3, including practice reports, so check the Shark Bites for any new information that comes.
