Lions RB Jahmyr Gibbs disappeared against the Rams despite the Lions scoring 34 points in the game. He went 13-38-0 on the ground and 4-20-0 through the air on 7 targets. His 9.8 PPR fantasy points were still more than teammate David Montgomery, who caught no passes in the game. Montgomery scored a TD, going 7-32-1 on the ground. The offense settled into QB Jared Goff’s hands, throwing the ball 41 times in the game.
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
Gibbs once again played well ahead of Montgomery. Gibbs played 52 snaps to Montgomery’s 18. Gibbs also ran 34 routes to Montgomery’s 8. That has been a trend since HC Dan Campbell took over the play-calling in Week 10. That should still benefit Gibbs moving forward, despite the poor production this week.
Goff ended up going 25/41 for 338 yards and 3 TDs. He targeted WR Amon-Ra St. Brown 18 times. St. Brown ended his day going 13-164-2, dominating the Rams' defense from both the slot and outside. The downfield passing game is still working.
The fantasy schedule for Gibbs and Montgomery is difficult for the rest of the fantasy playoffs. They have the Steelers next week, who have been volatile against the run, but shown the ability to shut down talented RBs at times this season. In Week 16, the Lions have a negative match-up against the Vikings who remain strong against fantasy RBs.
