Malik Nabers Headshot

Malik Nabers keeps progressing, and the odds of a Week 1 return keep rising. Connor Hughes of SportsNet New York reports that “He shed the red jersey and took part in 7-on-7 & 11-on-11.” While the Giants were without pads, meaning it wasn’t a full-contact practice, it was still a step in the right direction for Nabers. Hughes even reports that “He made a nice grab diving back for the ball on an intermediate route/curl.”

2026 Fantasy Football Impact: Week 1 Looks More Plausible

Just a week ago, Nabers was back in 7-on-7 work. Now he's doing that plus 11-on-11 without his no-contact jersey.

After a historically good rookie season by a WR, posting the second-highest fantasy points per game ever, Nabers was vaulted into fantasy discussions with the elite in the game.

Unfortunately, that ended in week four to an ACL tear.

But with Nabers nearing 11 full months since the injury and making significant progress ahead of the 2026 campaign, there should be plenty of optimism that he returns to form and could be even better.
