Raiders QB Kirk Cousins completed 31 of 52 passes for 365 yards, 2 TDs and 1 INT in Sunday's 30-27 loss to the Chiefs. He wasn't sacked once, and his longest completion went for 28 yards. Cousins averaged 7.0 yards per attempt and spread the ball to nine different receivers. TEs Brock Bowers (11 targets) and Michael Mayer (10) were his top options.
2026 Fantasy Football Impact: Volume Drove the Breakout
This was Cousins' best game of the season by a wide margin. He threw for 160 yards in Week 1, 253 in Week 2 and 248 in Week 3, so 365 yards was a big jump. The volume explains most of it. His 52 attempts came as the Raiders tried to keep pace, by far his most this season. The matchup makes the performance more impressive. Kansas City entered allowing the 2nd-fewest schedule-adjusted QB points (11.27 per game) and ranked 5th in pass defense DVOA.
Las Vegas visits the Patriots in Week 5, then hosts the Bills and Rams. New England ranks 27th in adjusted QB points allowed (14.13 per game) and 3rd in pass defense DVOA. Buffalo is the friendly spot, allowing the 9th-most QB points (20.38) and ranking 18th in pass DVOA. The Rams rank 21st (16.48) and 4th in pass DVOA. With no rushing ability, Cousins remains a low-end QB2 who has overperformed this season. It doesn't appear we will see rookie Fernando Mendoza anytime soon.
