The Rams got WR Puka Nacua back from a two-game hip injury for Sunday's win over the Rams, and it seemed to knock Davante Adams' numbers off. The veteran wideout managed just 4 catches for 32 yards at Philly, ranking fourth on the team in both categories. But Adams played his highest route rate so far this season, staying on the field for 53 of Matthew Stafford's 54 dropbacks (98.1%). He checked in third in targets, trailing Nacua (12) and Kyren Williams (13). Adams' 9 targets accounted for 18% of Stafford's 50 targeted passes for the game.
2026 Fantasy Football Impact: Usage Dips But Hasn't Tumbled
Nacua's presence clearly hurts the usage outlook for Adams. Here are his target shares by week this season:
- Week 1 (with Nacua): 22.2%
- Week 2 (without): 33.5%
- Week 3 (without): 26.5%
- Week 4 (with): 18.0%
Week 1 looks a little better when you knock out Stetson Bennett's three pass attempts at the end of the game. Adams drew 25.0% of Stafford's targeted passes in that contest. That gives Adams 20.3% of the targets in two outings with Nacua this year.
He hit 24.8% in games shared with Nacua last year, a rate that would have ranked 18th among WRs for the season.
So we can expect some decline in usage for Adams when Nacua plays, but not enough to knock him out of starter territory for fantasy.
Adams didn't help himself by dropping a pair of passes against the Eagles. Missed connections included a downfield ball on the Rams' fourth offensive play and a failed third-and-12 attempt later on the same drive.
Adams and the Rams now get the seventh-best schedule for WR scoring from Week 5 up to the team's Week 11 bye.
