Seahawks QB Sam Darnold threw for just 168 yards on 13-of-22 passing in Sunday's win over the Chargers. He found RB Emanuel Wilson and WR Tory Horton for TDs while adding 1 INT (on a bad first-quarter sideline throw right after his team had picked off Justin Herbert).
2026 Fantasy Football Impact: Expect Modest Numbers
Darnold sits a decent 15th among fantasy QBs for the week heading into the Monday night game, but a low-scoring week at the position helped.
The fantasy total came in less than halfway to Darnold's score from his Week 3 return at Washington. That kinda makes sense, given that Darnold threw 45 passes in that game.
Expect his weekly load to settle in closer to Sunday's result than the Week 3 number. Darnold averaged 28.1 pass attempts per game last season, albeit for a 14-3 squad that sported the league's No. 1 scoring defense. (This year's version ranks fifth.)
We might get more trailing game scripts for Darnold than we saw last year, but temper your expectations for his fantasy production. The Seahawks managed just 286 total yards against the Chargers on Sunday.
Matchups with the 49ers and Broncos the next two weeks could challenge Darnold's passing and likely won't find him inside our top 15 at the position.
