Olave entered Week 4 as the WR4 at 23.5 PPR points per game and kept up that WR1 production on Monday Night Football. He hauled in eight of his team-high 12 targets for 116 yards and 19.6 PPR points. He’s the only WR to achieve at least 18 PPR points in each week this season.
2026 Fantasy Football Impact: The WR1 Case Holds
With his QB Tyler Shough leading all QBs in pass attempts and the Falcons allowing the 6th most points to WRs, Olave and the other Saints receiving weapons came into the week with friendly projections.
A 45-24 blowout loss to the Falcons wasn’t the expected outcome, but it did lead to QB Tyler Shough throwing 48 pass attempts. Which marks the third time in the first four games that he’s surpassed 40 pass attempts.
But with the Saints ranked seventh with a 63.1% pass rate, and all of Shough’s performances with at least 40 pass attempts coming in games he was trailing in, a decline in passing volume is being signaled.
Although with Olave accounting for a 28.1% target share that ranks 10th among WRs, a decline in passing volume doesn’t deter him from continuing WR1 production.
