Without Hitchens in Week 7, playing time for the top 3 Chiefs LBs went: Nick Bolton 84%, Ben Niemann 74%, Willie Gay Jr. 68%. We'd expect a similar setup this week. CB Charvarius Ward (foot) is questionable. We'll update his status Monday evening, but you'd be better off looking elsewhere for a fantasy CB.

He's listed on the injury report with a triceps contusion, but it sounds like a nerve issue in his right elbow might be more significant. The IR designation means Gay will miss at least 3 games, but it doesn't sound like they expect the issue to linger much beyond that. According to Sam McDowell of The Kansas City Star, there was "initial optimism" that the injury wasn't serious. Anthony Hitchens figures to lead the LB playing time for K.C. while Gay is out.
