Cardinals LB De'Vondre Campbell (calf) is questionable for Thursday night's game against the Seahawks. He left Sunday's win over the Bills early, and then missed the 1st 2 days of practice before putting in a limited Wednesday workout. Campbell looks risky on the short turnaround, and there's a chance Arizona spells him with rookie Isaiah Simmons. Try to avoid Campbell in IDP lineups if you can. The Cardinals have also ruled DT Jordan Phillips (hamstring) out for the game.

Cardinals S Budda Baker is active for today's game against the Bills. He likely features some re-injury risk with the groin issue that rendered him questionable and allowed just 1 limited practice this week. But go ahead and play Baker in your IDP lineup if you were waiting for him.

Cardinals S Budda Baker is questionable for Sunday's game against the Bills. He missed practice Wednesday and Thursday but returned for a limited workout Friday. DC Vance Joseph said earlier in the week that he expects Baker to play. We'll check the safety's status Sunday. Chris Banjo stands as a potential replacement if you're looking to wait on Baker for your IDP lineup.

Cardinals S Budda Baker missed practice Wednesday and Thursday with a groin injury. DC Vance Joseph, however, said Thursday that he still expects Baker to play Sunday against the Bills, according to Kevin Zimmerman of ArizonaSports.com. We'll see about Baker's Friday participation and game status. Chris Banjo is listed as his backup and would have tackle upside if Baker can't go.

The Cardinals have placed OLB Devon Kennard and CB Byron Murphy on the COVID list. That likely means both guys will be out for at least this week and probably another game beyond that. The absences shouldn't make a big impact on IDP lineups or the Arizona team defense. We'll see how soon they return.

Cardinals LB Jordan Hicks left Sunday night's game against the Seahawks with an ankle injury, according to Sports Illustrated's Mason Kern. We knew about Hicks being off the field late in that game, but the team was not forthcoming with news of the injury. We'll see about Hicks' status coming out of the Week 8 bye (unless we get further details in the meantime).

Cardinals OLB Chandler Jones will miss the rest of the season after surgery to repair his right biceps. Jones suffered the injury in Sunday's win over the Jets. Kylie Fitts replaced him and figures to start going forward. Fitts is a 3rd-year player the Bears drafted in Round 6 in 2018. He brings a 78th-percentile speed score but posted just 1 good season of college production. We'll see how he fares, but Fitts isn't on the IDP radar right now.

Cardinals OLB Chandler Jones left Sunday's win over the Jets early with a biceps injury. The Cardinals expect Jones to miss some time, though it's not yet clear how much. It appears that Jones is weighing his options and hoping to not miss the rest of the season. We'll keep an eye out for a return timeline. In the meantime, make sure you get a replacement for your IDP roster. Kylie Fitts came on for Jones against the Jets. He collected 3 tackles (2 solo) and 2 hurries.

Cardinals S Chris Banjo (hamstring) is inactive for today's game against the Jets. That should leave Deionte Thompson starting in his place, next to returned starter Budda Baker. DL Jordan Phillips is active. He arrived questionable with an illness but is available as a lower-level IDP option.

Cardinals OLB Devon Kennard (calf) is out for Sunday's game against the Jets. DT Jordan Phillips (illness) is questionable. He missed Thursday and Friday workouts. S Chris Banjo (hamstring) is also questionable. He missed Wednesday practice before limited workouts the next 2 days. We'll check on Phillips and Banjo when the inactives come out Sunday. Neither is worth waiting for in most IDP leagues, though. If Banjo is active, the Deionte Thompson won't be usable.

Cardinals OLB Devon Kennard is inactive for today's game against the Panthers because of a calf injury. That could ding the Arizona pass rush a bit, but it should mean more snaps for veteran Haason Reddick in Kennard's place -- which might not ultimately be a downgrade.

The Cardinals have officially ruled S Budda Baker out for Week 4. The move was expected after Baker had thumb surgery this week. We'll see if he can make it back for Week 5. Arizona also ruled out S Chris Banjo (hamstring), leaving the defense down its top 3 safeties against the Panthers. (Jalen Thompson is already on short-term IR.)

Cardinals S Budda Baker plans to play against the Lions today despite a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his thumb, according to NFL Network's ian Rapoport. Baker will need surgery afterward, though, and expects to miss the Week 4 visit to Carolina. His absence would likely push S Deionte Thompson into the lineup. It's the same injury that has Eagles WR Jalen Reagor on IR at the moment, so we'll see about Baker's return timeline. Obviously, it's not quite as important for the safety to be able to catch footballs.

The Cardinals selected Clemson’s Isaiah Simmons with the 8th pick of the NFL Draft. Simmons is most commonly viewed as a LB, but some NFL teams reportedly see him as more of a safety. He spent plenty of snaps at both positions for the Tigers, as well as every other spot on the defense besides DT. Simmons arrives with a vaulted fantasy ceiling that includes upside across categories. His primary position should be ILB, but Simmons could see significant DB snaps and possibly impact Budda Baker's role. He'll rank among the top picks for dynasty rookie drafts with IDPs.

The Cardinals have agreed to a 1-year, $8.5 million deal with LB De'Vondre Campbell, according to Drew Rosenhaus' agency. That likely installs Campbell as the ILB starter next to Jordan Hicks, a spot that saw Haason Reddick and Joe Walker take turns last season. Campbell finished 12th among fantasy LBs in 2019 (depending on your scoring format). Don't bet on a repeat of that. But Reddick did open 2019 performing as a top-20 fantasy LB, which displays the upside to Campbell's likely new role. Expect him to land in mid-to-high LB3 territory in our 2020 IDP rankings. Reddick, meanwhile, looks like a safe drop in most dynasty leagues. He has yet to sustain a starting role through 3 years, and the Cardinals have moved on from the coaching staff that was around when Arizona drafted him in Round 1.

Cardinals LB Joe Walker (rib) is active for today's game against the Browns. He's not a high-level IDP, but there's some tackle upside against a busy Cleveland backfield if you waited on him.
