49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk has been activated from the COVID list. That puts him in line to return for Monday night's game against the Bills. San Francisco has had Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel together for only 4 games this season. Samuel has out-targeted Aiyuk 22 to 21 in those contests.

49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk (COVID) is out for today’s game against the Rams. Deebo Samuel, Richie James and Kendrick Bourne should operate as San Francisco’s top 3 WRs.

As of Friday evening, 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk remains on the COVID list. HC Kyle Shananah said he hasn't heard any updates on Aiyuk's chances of getting cleared in time for Sunday's game against the Rams. San Francisco promoted WR Jordan Matthews from the practice squad, so the team is obviously preparing to be without Aiyuk. He should be on fantasy benches for now.

49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk has been placed back on the COVID list. San Francisco has a Week 11 bye, but we'll see if the rookie is cleared in time for next week's game vs. the Rams.

49ers WR Kendrick Bourne has returned 2 consecutive negative COVID tests, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. Bourne, Brandon Aiyuk, Deebo Samuel and Trent Williams can re-join the team immediately. It's a tough break that all 4 guys were forced to miss Thursday night's loss to the Packers, but they'll be eligible to play Week 10.

The 49ers have added WR Brandon Aiyuk and LT Trent Williams to the COVID list. That means the offense will be missing both starters, in addition to Deebo Samuel (hamstring) and Kendrick Bourne (COVID). Those absences, of course, join RBs Raheem Mostert, Tevin Coleman and Jeff Wilson, as well as QB Jimmy Garoppolo and TE George Kittle. Trent Taylor suddenly looks like the team's top receiver ... and he might need to play a few more positions by the time we get to Thursday night. The NFL reportedly still plans to play the game at the scheduled time, though.

49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo (ankle) will return for Sunday's game against the Dolphins, HC Kyle Shanahan said. Garoppolo is a significant upgrade for San Francisco's pass-catchers and is a high-upside QB2 in this matchup. The 'Niners are implied for 29.25 points -- 6th highest on the week.

49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk (hamstring) put in a full week of practice and isn’t listed on the final injury report. He’ll make his pro debut against the Jets on Sunday. It’s completely uncertain how big a role the rookie will play after missing about 3 weeks. But Aiyuk does bring intriguing upside in this plus matchup.

Niners WR Brandon Aiyuk was a full practice participant Thursday. The rookie appears to be trending toward playing Sunday against the iffy secondary of the Jets. He could face plenty of opportunity, with Deebo Samuel out and TE George Kittle questionable to play (knee).

The 49ers on Tuesday reached a deal with WR Mohamed Sanu. The former Falcon spent 2016 with Niners HC Kyle Shanahan as his OC in Atlanta. Sanu failed to make the Patriots' regular-season roster this year, though, just months after New England traded a 2nd-round pick to acquire him. That suggests we shouldn't expect a whole lot from the veteran wideout. His signing follows WR Deebo Samuel landing on IR. Shanahan has said, however, that he'll "be surprised" if rookie WR Brandon Aiyuk isn't ready to play in Week 2.

49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk (hamstring) is inactive for today’s game against the Cardinals. With WR Deebo Samuel also out, Kendrick Bourne and Trent Taylor figure to operate as San Francisco’s top 2 WRs.

The 49ers have placed WR Deebo Samuel (foot) on IR. It's a bit surprising after Samuel was seemingly trending in the right direction -- and potentially even being ready for Week 1. We haven't heard of a setback, but Samuel is now out for at least the first 3 weeks. With WR Brandon Aiyuk (hamstring) questionable for Sunday's opener vs. Arizona, Kendrick Bourne and Trent Taylor figure to operate as San Francisco's top 2 WRs.

49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk (hamstring) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game against the Cardinals. He put in limited practices on Thursday and Friday. The rookie figures to be on a snap count if he's active on Sunday, so he's not a recommended Week 1 fantasy play.

49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk (hamstring) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. That gives the rookie a shot to play against the Cardinals this weekend, although he shouldn't be in your Week 1 fantasy plans after missing over 2 weeks of practice.

49ers WRs Deebo Samuel (foot) and Brandon Aiyuk (hamstring) missed practice on Wednesday. Fantasy owners shouldn't be counting on either guy to play against the Cardinals this weekend. Their absences would leave Kendrick Bourne and Trent Taylor as San Francisco's top 2 WRs. TE George Kittle should dominate targets.

49ers HC Kyle Shanhan labeled WR Brandon Aiyuk "week to week" with a "mild strain" in his left hamstring. It's the 1st update we've gotten on the rookie since he went down in Sunday's practice. Aiyuk was off to a hot start in camp and seemed destined to play a big role right out of the gate. This injury might impact that plan. We'll see when Aiyuk is able to get back on the field.

Niners rookie WR Brandon Aiyuk left practice Sunday morning with a left hamstring injury, according to NBC Sports' Matt Maiocco. Injuries to Deebo Samuel and Jalen Hurd had left Aiyuk as the potential leader of the WR corps. We'll see how significant this issue proves to be. Yet another WR injury only increases opportunity for Kendrick Bourne and slot man Trent Taylor. Either guy is worth a look late in deep fantasy football drafts. Aiyuk remains a high-upside pick in the double-digit rounds, as long as this hammy injury doesn't prove to be too serious. Aiyuk reportedly finished the Sunday session watching from the sideline, which is obviously more encouraging than if he'd gone immediately in for treatment.

49ers WR Jalen Hurd is having a Monday morning MRI on "what's believed to be a major knee injury" suffered in Sunday practice, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. The team reportedly fears that Hurd suffered an ACL tear. Such fears tend to be confirmed by testing. We'll keep an eye on this situation, but you should certainly stop drafting Hurd immediately. His absence would leave even more available for Brandon Aiyuk, as the Niners await Deebo Samuel's return to health. WRs Kendrick Bourne and Trent Taylor would also find more opportunity available. Aiyuk is a high-upside option for your fantasy bench. Taylor and Bourne would be late-draft flyers.
