Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports that the Browns don't expect LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah's groin injury from Thursday night to be a long-term issue. The team will monitor his progress in the coming week to see if the 2nd-year player will miss further game time.

Browns LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah left in the 3rd quarter of Thursday night's game against the Steelers with a quad injury. He's questionable to return. JOK could be seen trying to work out the issue on the sideline initially, but he then left for the locker room.

Browns HC Kevin Stefanski says rookie LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah re-injured the ankle Sunday that had previously cost him 3 games, according to Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer. We'll see how long the team expects to miss JOK this time.

Browns rookie LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah (ankle) is active for today's game against the Patriots. It'll mark his return from 3 games on IR, so it's difficult to know just how much the rookie will play. CB Greedy Williams (shoulder) is inactive for the game.

The Browns have activated LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah off IR, where he missed the past 3 games with a high-ankle sprain. He's been added to the injury report as questionable for Sunday's game against the Patriots. The fact that they activated him indicates the rookie will play, but we'd be hesitant to use him in IDP lineups in the 1st game back. JOK had elevated to tops among Cleveland LBs in playing time before his injury. We'll be curious to see whether/how soon he pushes Malcolm Smith aside and/or passes Anthony Walker.

The Browns have designated LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah to return from IR. That opens a 3-week practice window for the team to determine whether/when to return the rookie to the active roster. JOK is coming off a high-ankle sprain. We'll see about his progression through this return to the field.

The Browns expect LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah to miss multiple weeks after suffering a high-ankle sprain late in Sunday's loss to the Cardinals. It's unfortunate timing after the rookie led Cleveland LBs in playing time each of the past 2 games. With him out, expect veteran LB Anthony Walker to reclaim the top job and deliver solid tackle production for IDP lineups.

Browns CB Denzel Ward left Sunday's loss to the Chargers with a neck injury. We'll see about his availability for next Sunday's home date with the Cardinals. Avoiding Ward would enhance the matchup for WR DeAndre Hopkins. Cleveland rookie LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah also suffered a throat contusion against the Chargers and went to a local hospital after the game. We'll see about his status, coming off a season-high 91% playing time.

The Browns are placing MLB Anthony Walker on IR with a hamstring strain. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Walker “should” be back in 3 weeks. Walker was the only full-timer at the position for Cleveland in Week 1. Rookie Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah ranked 2nd among the group in playing time but stayed on the field for just 38% of snaps. We’ll see how things sort out in Walker’s absence. JOK carries the most IDP upside, if he gets primary playing time

Browns LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah missed Sunday night's preseason finale because of a "freak" weightlifting accident that left him with a gash in his forehead, according to Cleveland.com's Mary Kay Cabot. The rookie needed stitches, then missed the rest of the practice week and the exhibition because he couldn't wear a helmet over the injury. Cabot believes JOK still has a shot at starting the regular-season opener against the Chiefs because of the athletic ability he has showed in camp and preseason. We have yet to see Owusu-Koramoah work in that role yet, though. For now, he's a late stash in deeper IDP drafts, with big upside.

The Browns have placed rookie LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah on the COVID list. That, of course, could mean a positive test or a high-risk exposure. We'll see how long the designation keeps the 2nd-rounder out and whether we should expect any lingering impact.
