Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Browns RB Nick Chubb averaged 4.4 yards per carry in Sunday's loss to the Steelers. That marked his second-best average through seven apperances this season. But he also garnered just 11 carries vs. Jerome Ford's 10 for the game. Chubb also trailed Ford in pass routes and total snaps once again.
Browns RB Nick Chubb managed just 11 carries for 50 yards in Sunday's lopsided loss to the Saints. Chubb got the ball four times on Cleveland's first possession alone but hit halftime with only 6 rushes for 19 yards.
Browns RB Jerome Ford (hamstring) is not listed on the final injury report and will play vs. the Chargers on Sunday. Cleveland will have Ford and RB Nick Chubb available for the first time this season. Ford figures to lead this backfield in passing-down snaps going forward. We’ll see how much rushing work he takes from Chubb.
Browns RB Jerome Ford (hamstring) returned to a limited practice on Wednesday. He seemingly has a shot to play vs the Chargers this weekend. Ford wouldn't be a recommended Week 9 fantasy starter but could steal work from RB Nick Chubb, particularly in the passing game.
Browns RB Jerome Ford (hamstring) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Ravens. That’ll again leave the backfield to RBs Nick Chubb, D’Onta Foreman, and Pierre Strong. Chubb played 35% of the snaps and handled 11 of 16 RB carries last week. His role could grow this weekend, but the matchup is brutal against a Baltimore run defense ranked fourth in DVOA.
Browns RB Jerome Ford (hamstring) did not practice on Wednesday. He's not looking like a good bet to make it back for this weekend's game vs. the Ravens. That'd again leave the backfield to Nick Chubb, D'Onta Foreman, and Pierre Strong. Chubb played just 35% of the offensive snaps in his 2024 debut last week but led the Browns with 11 carries.
Browns RB Jerome Ford (hamstring) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Bengals. RB Nick Chubb (knee) is listed as questionable but is expected to play, HC Kevin Stefanski said on Friday. It’ll be Chubb’s first game since his September 2023 multi-ligament knee injury. We’ll look for reports on Cleveland’s plans for Chubb in this one, but we’d be surprised if he got anything close to a full workload. See where Chubb lands in the Week 7 RB Rankings.
Browns HC Kevin Stefanski on Monday called RB Jerome Ford "week-to-week" with his hamstring injury, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. That likely means we should expect Ford to miss at least the Week 7 game against the Bengals. Cleveland reportedly expects to get Nick Chubb back for that one. Ford's absence would figure to leave Pierre Strong as the primary complement to Chubb in that scenario. We'll keep watching for updates on the Cleveland backfield throughout the week.
Browns RB Jerome Ford suffered a hamstring injury in the first quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Eagles and is questionable to return. His absence leaves D'Onta Foreman and Pierre Strong in the backfield. RB Nick Chubb is expected to make his 2024 debut next week.
Update: Ford has been ruled out.
Browns RB Nick Chubb (knee) is expected to make his 2024 debut against the Bengals next week, according to insider Mary Kay Cabot. It'll be Chubb's first game since suffering a multi-ligament knee injury in September 2023. It remains to be seen how close Chubb can get to pre-injury form. He won't be a viable Week 7 fantasy play, but he does figure to steal some early-down work from RB Jerome Ford. And Chubb's role could quickly grow depending on how that knee performs. Grab him if he's still available in your fantasy league.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Browns are expected to open the practice window for RB Nick Chubb (knee) this week. Once the team makes that move, they'll have three weeks to promote him to the active roster.
Browns RB Jerome Ford (knee) is not listed on the final Week 4 injury report after putting in a full practice on Friday. It doesn’t look like that knee will be a factor vs. the Raiders on Sunday. RB Pierre Strong (hamstring) is out again.
Browns RB Jerome Ford (knee) did not practice on Wednesday. He seemed to make it out of Week 3 ok, so this might have been more of a rest day. Check back tomorrow for another update on Ford's status. His absence would leave D'Onta Foreman as Cleveland's lead back vs. the Raiders.
