Seahawks LB K.J. Wright (ankle) is active for today's game against the Rams. He'll be risky for IDP lineups but available if you've been planning to use him. CB Quinton Dunbar (knee) is inactive, leaving Seattle without both starting outside corners. DE Benson Mayowa is also inactive.

The Seahawks have ruled out CB Shaq Griffin (concussion, hamstring) for Sunday's game against the Rams. LB K.J. Wright (ankle), CB Quinton Dunbar (knee) and DE Benson Mayowa (ankle) are questionable. Mayowa is a low-level option at best and not worth waiting for. Dunbar didn't practice at all this week and looks unlikely to suit up. Wright made it back for a limited Friday workout after missing the previous 2 days. We'll see about him, but you likely have a better option available for your IDP lineup. A weak Seattle defense will at least miss 1 of its top 2 corners and likely both, plus a primary TE-coverage player. Keep that in mind as you consider your Rams offensive options.

The Seahawks chose Texas Tech LB Jordyn Brooks with the 27th pick of the NFL Draft. Brooks spent 4 years starting for the Red Raiders: 3 on the outside before moving to the middle as a senior. Brooks ranks 5th in this class of off-the-ball LBs in speed score with a 96th-percentile mark. He also produced on the field: 4th-most solo tackles per game for 2019, 6th in market share of solos, 1st in tackles for loss per game and 5th in career solos per game. In Seattle, Brooks might shove K.J. Wright out of the lineup this year. We'll see about the Seahawks' plans.

Gregg Bell of the Tacoma News Tribune reports that LB K.J. Wright is re-signing with the Seahawks. That will keep him and MLB Bobby Wagner in their established roles, with fellow re-signee Mychal Kendricks potentially manning the opposite outside spot. Wright struggled through a knee injury last season, which limited him to just 5 games. Kendricks filled in for him at times, amid a league suspension and his own injury. When healthy, Wright has been a solid LB2-to-LB3 for IDP purposes. His deal is believed to be short term -- perhaps a "prove it" type contract coming off his 2018 knee issue.

Seahawks DT Jarran Reed (oblique) and S Bradley McDougald (knee) are questionable for Sunday's game against the Vikings. Reed returned to a full practice Friday, though, after missing Thursday's workout. McDougald put in limited workouts the past 2 days after sitting out Wednesday. We'll check both early-afternoon Sunday, but we expect both to play. If you plan to wait for McDougald, make sure you have insurance available from the Seahawks, 49ers, Patriots, Steelers, Eagles, Rams, Saints or Panthers. LB K.J. Wright (knee) remains out, despite putting in limited practices the past 2 days.

The Seahawks have deemed LB K.J. Wright doubtful for Thursday night's game against the Packers. Wright had to leave Sunday's loss to the Rams early because of his bothersome knee and hasn't practiced this week. Jacob Martin got the extra snaps against the Rams and looks like the next guy in. There should be no Seattle LB other than Bobby Wagner in your IDP plans, though.

Seahawks S Bradley McDougald (knee) and LB K.J. Wright (knee) are active for today's game against the Rams. McDougald played through the issue last week but left the game early. He remains a risky IDP option. Wright has been playing through questionable tags since returning from his August knee surgery and is fine for IDP usage.

Seahawks S Bradley McDougald (knee) and LB K.J. Wright (knee) are questionable for Sunday's game against the Rams. Both guys entered Week 9 questionable as well. McDougald left the game early and then missed Wednesday and Thursday practices. He returned for a limited workout Friday but makes for a high-risk IDP option in a negative matchup for DB scoring. Wright saw normal playing time in Week 9. He missed Thursday's practice between limited workouts Wednesday and Friday. We'll check the status on both Sunday afternoon.

Seahawks S Bradley McDougald (knee) and LB K.J. Wright (knee) are active for today’s game against the Chargers. Each entered the day questionable but looks OK for normal IDP usage

Seahawks S Bradley McDougald (knee) and OLB K.J. Wright (knee) are questionable for Sunday's game against the Chargers, and neither's situation looks particularly encouraging. McDougald missed practiced Wednesday, returned to a limited workout Thursday but then sat out again Friday. Wright sat Wednesday and Thursday before a limited Friday workout. We'll check their statuses Sunday afternoon. If your deciding between either and an early-game option, though, go with the earlier.

Seahawks LB K.J. Wright practiced all week and is set to play Sunday. We’d expect him to start, though it’s tough to say whether Wright will be ready for a full snap share. He has been out since late August knee surgery. Wright’s in play for deep IDP leagues but not a strong Week 8 option in most cases

The league has suspended Seahawks LB Mychal Kendricks indefinitely because of the insider-trading case against him. We'll see how long that winds up lasting, but it means you can go ahead and drop him in IDP leagues. Unfortunately, LB K.J. Wright's knee still doesn't seem likely to be ready for Week 5. With just 1 more game between that and the Week 7 bye, we're likely looking at Week 8 for the earliest Wright availability.

Seahawks LB K.J. Wright will miss his 3rd straight game in Week 3 following knee surgery. Replacement Mychal Kendricks is questionable with an ankle issue. He popped onto the injury report after limited practices Thursday and Friday. We'll see about Kendricks' status Sunday. MLB Bobby Wagner's return to health makes him the Seattle LB to use.

The Seahawks have ruled MLB Bobby Wagner out for Monday night's game at Chicago. He missed practice all week with a groin injury. Weak-side LB K.J. Wright (ankle) will also miss his 2nd straight game. That leaves a potential tackle bonanza for rookie LB Shaquem Griffin. It also creates an attractive rushing setup for Bears RB Jordan Howard.

Seahawks MLB Bobby Wagner and OLB K.J. Wright did not practice Friday because of injuries. Wright missed Week 1 following a preseason knee procedure. Wagner has a groin issue, despite playing every snap in the Week 1 loss to the Broncos. We'll see about their status following Saturday's practice, ahead of the Monday night game in Chicago.

Seahawks HC Pete Carroll says LB K.J. Wright will probably be out at least "a couple weeks," according to ESPN's Brady Henderson. Carroll called that "the most optimistic we could be." That timeline would put Wright on the sideline past the regular-season opener. We'll see as the game draws closer, but IDP owners should expect Wright to miss at least 1 game and quite possibly another. Rookie Shaquem Griffin figures to start as long as Wright's out.

Seahawks OLB K.J. Wright came away from Friday's game against the Vikings with a knee issue that required arthroscopic surgery. According to multiple reports, HC Pete Carroll said he doesn't know whether Wright will be ready for the regular-season opener. Losing Wright for any time would be just the latest ding for a defense that will look much different than the unit we've gotten used to. It would also, however, likely allow rookie Shaquem Griffin to start in Wright's place. Griffin sits behind Wright on the team's "unofficial" depth chart.
