Lamar Miller Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

After watching 3 more RBs get banged up in Sunday's victory at Philadelphia, the 49ers are having free agents Duke Johnson and Lamar Miller in for visits this week, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. We'll see whether anyone signs and what the statuses are for the Niners' existing stable. San Francisco already has Kerryon Johnson on the practice squad as well.

Washington has finally activated WR Curtis Samuel off the PUP. His return to practice this week will mark his 1st action since sustaining a groin injury in June workouts. We'll see how quickly Samuel can knock off the rust and whether there's any reason to worry about lingering groin issues. ESPN's John Keim says Samuel will start off doing position drills but sitting out full-team work, "build up conditioning and work back in." The PUP stay has knocked Samuel's ADP down. As long as he doesn't climb too quickly, the situation could make him a value in August drafts. Washington has also released RB Lamar Miller and WR Kelvin Harmon.

Patriots RB Lamar Miller (knee) has been activated from the PUP list and is practicing on Monday. It's his 1st official work since tearing his ACL last August. With Miller and Sony Michel joining Damien Harris, James White and Rex Burkhead, New England's backfield is all of a sudden very crowded. (What else is new?) We'll see if the situation sorts itself out at all over the next couple of weeks. White's role in the passing game is the only sure thing for now.

Texans RB Lamar Miller (ankle) is listed as questionable after a limited week of practice. HC Bill O’Brien said Friday that Miller “has a chance” to play against the Eagles on Sunday. We’ll get his official status by noon ET. If Miller suits up, he’ll be a risk/reward RB2 at less than 100%. If not, Alfred Blue figures to serve as Houston’s lead back. RB D’Onta Foreman (Achilles) could also make his 2018 debut.
