Ravens S Earl Thomas (knee) is inactive for today's game against the Steelers. It's no surprise, given that Baltimore has made clear it's resting key players in a meaningless contest (for them). CB Marcus Peters (chest) and CB Jimmy Smith (groin) are active, but don't expect full playing time for them. Even so, Steelers QB Devlin Hodges keeps the Ravens' defense in play for fantasy.

Rams CB Marcus Peters (calf strain) is active for tonight's game against the Vikings. Using him in IDP lineups remains risky, though. We wouldn't recommend it.

Reports this week have pointed to a 2-to-4-week recovery timeline for Rams CB Marcus Peters from the calf strain he suffered Sunday. He's officially questionable for Thursday night's game against the Vikings, though, suggesting he might not miss any more time. We still would try to plan on a different DB for IDP lineups. But if you're hoping to use Peters, we'll see about his status Thursday evening.

The Rams lost CB Marcus Peters and CB Aqib Talib to injuries in Sunday's win over the Chargers. We'll see about the status of each starter this week, but a quick turnaround to play the Vikings on Thursday night won't help them.

Update: Peters is expected to miss 2-4 weeks with a calf strain, according to Ian Rapoport. Talib is having surgery on a high left ankle sprain.

Chiefs LB Derrick Johnson (Achilles'), CB Marcus Peters (hip) and NT Dontari Poe (back) are active for tonight's game against the Chiefs after entering today questionable. CB Steven Nelson (neck) is inactive after also entering Sunday questionable.

Chiefs CB Marcus Peters (hip) is out for today's game against the Buccaneers. He joins DE Jaye Howard (hip) -- who was doubtful -- on the inactive list. The other questionable defensive starters are active: LB Derrick Johnson (hamstring), CB Phillip Gaines (neck), NT Dontari Poe (knee) and OLB Justin Houston (knee). Houston will make his season debut after opening the year on the PUP list.

Chiefs CB Marcus Peters will "try" to play today against the Buccaneers, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, but will likely be limited if he is active. Peters missed practice all week with a hip injury. The uncertainty about how much he'll actually be able to stay on the field obviously adds a lot of risk to his IDP outlook even in a positive matchup. Weigh the upside vs. your other DB/CB options. Houston's expected to play for the 1st time this season after putting in full practices Wednesday and Thursday. Peters, on the other hand, didn't practice at all this week and looks quite iffy. Johnson put in a limited practice Friday after sitting out Wednesday and Thursday. He played through the hamstring issue in Week 10. Poe practiced on a limited basis Thursday but sat out the other 2 days. Gaines put in limited workouts all week. We'll check on each player's status Sunday.

The Chiefs grabbed CB Marcus Peters with the 18th pick of the NFL Draft. Peters, of course, presents plenty of talent but got booted off the team at Washington for fighting with coaches. He has projected remorse for his actions, but we'll see where he goes from here. Peters looks intriguing as a dynasty IDP option, but you shouldn't consider him until very late -- if at all -- in your rookie draft, and then only if you play with CB-specific roles.
