Bucs RB Ronald Jones (quad, finger) has "a good shot to play" vs. the Saints today, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Jones participated in Saturday's walkthrough, although a final decision on his availability won't come until he gets to the stadium today. We'll find out whether Jones is active around 5 pm ET. HC Bruce Arians said earlier this week that RB Leonard Fournette will get the start regardless of Jones' status.

Bucs HC Bruce Arians labeled RB Ronald Jones (quad, finger) a game-time decision for Sunday's Divisional Round tilt vs the Saints. Arians added that RB Leonard Fournette will get the start regardless of Jones' status. That obviously doesn't guarantee that Fournette will end up leading the backfield in touches, but he's coming off a nice performance in last week's win and is the healthier of the 2 backs. Fournette looks like the better fantasy play this weekend.

Bucs RB Ronald Jones (quad, finger) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. We'll see what he does on Friday and how he's listed on the final injury report for Sunday's game vs. the Saints.

Bucs RB Ronald Jones (quad) did not practice on Wednesday. HC Bruce Arians did say that Jones is improving and will hopefully be able to get back on the practice field tomorrow. We'll have another update on his progress then.

Bucs HC Bruce Arians was non-committal on Monday when asked about RB Ronald Jones' status for Sunday's Divisional Round game vs. the Saints. Jones ended up missing last weekend's game in Washington after he didn't feel like he could "open up" in warmups, according to Arians. Jones was on last week's injury report with the quad but was a full participant in all 3 practices. We'll monitor his participation this week. With Jones out last week, Leonard Fournette handled 19 of 24 RB carries and 4 of 5 RB targets.

Buccaneers RB Ronald Jones sustained a quad injury in pregame warm-ups before the Saturday night game against Washington, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Jones is questionable to return to the game. Leonard Fournette and Ke'Shawn Vaughn each saw early snaps in Jones' absence.

Bucs RB Ronald Jones (finger) practiced all week and isn’t listed on the final injury report. He should return as Tampa’s lead back for Sunday’s game vs. Atlanta.

The Buccaneers have activated RB Ronald Jones off the COVID list. As long as he's not experiencing health issues, we'd expect him to be back to his usual role for Sunday's game against Atlanta. Leonard Fournette managed only 14-49 and 9-34 rushing lines in the 2 games Jones missed.

Bucs RB Ronald Jones is on track to be cleared from the concussion protocol in time for Sunday's game vs. the Falcons, according to the Tampa Bay Times' Rick Stroud. We'll have to see if Jones' pinky allows him to play in that one. Stay tuned

Bucs RB Ronald Jones (COVID, pinky) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Lions. That again leaves lead duties to Leonard Fournette, who handled 14 of 16 RB carries and 5 of 9 RB targets in last week's win over the Falcons. Projected volume and the matchup vs. Detroit's league-worst RB defense makes Fournette a borderline RB1 for Week 16.

Bucs insider Rick Stroud believes RB Ronald Jones is unlikely to play against the Lions on Saturday. Jones is on the COVID list, and it sounds like he tested positive for the virus. That means he's out for at least 10 days from when he landed on the list, which would be through Saturday. Look for Leonard Fournette to again serve as Tampa's lead back in a juicy matchup vs. Detroit's league-worst RB defense.

Bucs RB Ronald Jones is out for today’s game against the Falcons. We’ll see if he can make it back from pinky surgery and a trip to the COVID list for Week 16. Leonard Fournette figures to operate as Tampa’s lead back today, although LeSean McCoy and potentially rookie Ke’Shawn Vaughn will also be involved

Bucs RB Ronald Jones has been placed on the COVID list. We'll see if he tested positive for the virus or was just a close contact. But between this and Tuesday's finger surgery, he seems like a long shot to play vs. Atlanta this weekend. That'll leave the backfield to Leonard Fournette, LeSean McCoy and Ke'Shawn Vaughn.

Bucs RB Ronald Jones will try to practice on Thursday or Friday, HC Bruce Arians said. Jones had pinky surgery on Tuesday, but it looks like there's a chance he's able to play vs. the Falcons this weekend. We'll continue to keep an eye on him.

Bucs RB Ronald Jones will have surgery on Tuesday to have a pin placed in his broken pinky finger, the Tampa Bay Times' Rick Stroud reports. Stroud notes that this is similar to the injury Chris Godwin had earlier this season. Godwin ended up missing 1 game. Jones hasn't yet been ruled out for this weekend's game vs. the Falcons, but fantasy owners should at least make plans to be without him. Jones' absence would leave Tampa with RBs Leonard Fournette, LeSean McCoy and Ke'Shawn Vaughn. Despite being a healthy scratch last week, Fournette is the best candidate to take over as lead back if Jones sits.
