Titans WR Treylon Burks (knee) did not practice on Thursday. That followed a limited practice on Wednesday. Burks either hurt that knee in Wednesday's practice or just got today off. We should know more about his status when we get Tennessee's final injury report tomorrow.

Titans WR Treylon Burks led the team in receiving with 76 yards, hauling in 3 of 4 targets. Teammate DeAndre Hopkins had a quiet effort with 4 catches on 5 targets for 40 yards. Considering how often Tennessee runs the ball, it’s going to be difficult to trust any Titans’ pass-catcher to have massive fantasy production. Managers in deep leagues can consider both as potential flex options in Week 3 vs. the Browns.

Titans WR DeAndre Hopkins (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Chargers. He didn’t practice all week and was non-committal about his availability when talking to reporters on Friday. Fantasy owners can’t be counting on Hopkins at this point. We’ll look for updates on his status and will get Tennessee’s inactives around 11:30 am ET on Sunday. Hopkins’ absence would open up big opportunity for WR Treylon Burks and TE Chig Okonkwo.

Titans WR Treylon Burks drew an uneventful 3 targets in Sunday's loss to the Saints, trailing WR DeAndre Hopkins, WR Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, and RB Tyjae Spears. But Burks played more offensive snaps than any skill-position player besides QB Ryan Tannehill. His 57 snaps led Hopkins by 8. Burks also ran one more route than Hopkins, despite recently returning from a knee injury. Burks will obviously need to turn the playing-time edge into more targets before we can put him in fantasy lineups. But these numbers make Burks' opener look better than his receiving stats do.

Titans WR DeAndre Hopkins drew a target on 38.2% of QB Ryan Tannehill's 34 pass attempts in Sunday's season-opening loss at New Orleans. He caught 7 of 13 targets for a mere 65 yards. WR Nick Westbrook-Ikhine ranked second on the team in each category, with 7 targets, 4 receptions, and 58 yards. WR Treylon Burks drew just 3 targets, catching two for 18 yards. Hopkins should be an easy start for a Week 2 home date with the Chargers -- and would continue to be if the target distribution remains similar. Burks belongs on fantasy benches until he proves otherwise.

Titans WR Treylon Burks (knee) put in a full week of practice and isn’t listed on the final Week 1 injury report. It looks like he’s ready for a full workload vs. the Saints on Sunday.

Titans WR Treylon Burks (knee) was a full-go in Wednesday's practice. He'll play in this weekend's opener vs. the Saints -- and is seemingly ready for his usual workload. That puts Burks in the WR4 mix.

Titans WR Treylon Burks (knee) returned to practice on Monday. He'd been sidelined since suffering what was reported as a sprained LCL on August 16. He now has a little less than two weeks to gear up for the season opener. Burks would be a risky fantasy play in that one, but he remains a high-upside fantasy stash.

Titans WR Treylon Burks suffered merely a LCL sprain in his left knee Wednesday. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Burks "should only miss a few weeks." That seems like good news vs. what could have been, based on reports he left on a cart and wasn't putting weight on the leg. That vague timeline could give him a shot to start the regular season on time. We'll keep watching for more specifics on when Tennessee expects him back. Burks will likely still make sense in WR4 range of fantasy football drafts. Check our 2023 fantasy football rankings to see where he lands.

Titans WR Treylon Burks left the field Wednesday with the help of trainers, who were "holding his left knee," according to ESPN's Turron Davenport. Titans reporter Paul Kuharsky added that Burks was putting no weight on the leg as he got onto a cart to leave the sideline and holding his upper calf. We'll obviously be watching this situation closely for updates.

Titans QB Ryan Tannehill signaled that the team will use WR Treylon Burks in a more diverse role. As a rookie, he ran 79% of his routes out wide — a major shift from his usage at Arkansas. “Now [he’s] kind of switching positions, learning the other side…and being able to move around a little bit," Tannehill said. "I think the more we can move around, the better it’s going to make our offense.” The 23-year-old profiles as a fringe WR3 to open the season.

WR DeAndre Hopkins is signing with the Titans, according to multiple reports. Tennessee has ranked among the front-runners for a while now and could certainly use the help at WR. Second-year WR Treylon Burks arrived in Round 1 of the draft last year and followed a disappointing 2022 with a buzzy spring. But there’s little aside from him at the position. Hopkins’ arrival will challenge the target-share upside for Burks and TE Chig Okonkwo. But it wil also clearly add upside to QB Ryan Tannehill. He has been going near-last among starting QBs throughout best ball draft season. Tennessee doesn’t sport the highest ceiling for Hopkins, who isn’t a lock to beat Burks in targets or fantasy points. Even if he does, the Titans have ranked among the league’s most run-leaning offenses under HC Mike Vrabel. See where all the Titans sit in our 2023 fantasy football rankings.

Update: Hopkins got a two-year, $26 million contract with another $3 million available in incentives each year, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The deal lands Hopkins 23rd among WRs in average annual salary.

Per ESPN's Turron Davenport, Titans WR Treylon Burks is "playing at a different speed from his rookie season" in OTAs and minicamps this offseason. Davenport also notes that Titans QB Ryan Tannehill is highly comfortable throwing to the 2022 first-round pick "whether he is wide open or in tight coverage," which is certainly exciting to hear for fantasy managers. Burks' rookie season was marred by injury (turf toe in Week 4, concussion in Week 12, six total missed games), though he closed 2022 on a high note. Burks drew 6+ targets in five of his final six healthy games, catching 4+ balls in four of those five games while averaging 13.7 yards per catch over that entire span. Assuming better health, he could be a sneaky PPR value pick in drafts this year. We feel very good about Burks' chances to lead the Titans' offense in targets and be a high-volume receiver without a lot of other talent around him. See where Burks comes out in our current WR rankings.

WR Treylon Burks has been QB Ryan Tannehill's "favorite target" throughout OTAs, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official website writes. "It seems like Tannehill connects with Burks at the start of every period, and I haven't seen Burks drop a ball intended for him yet in the open OTAs," Wyatt adds. Frankly, it'd be disappointing if Burks wasn't Tannehill's favorite target considering the sorry state of Tennessee's pass-catching corps. But that's part of Burks' 2023 fantasy appeal: He has a chance to dominate Titans targets. The second-year WR is a legitimate breakout candidate this year.

Titans WR Treylon Burks commented on his health ahead of OTAs. Burks struggled with asthma for parts of his rookie season but is confident he can control the condition better in 2023. "I feel faster because I can breathe," Burks said via The Tennessean. "I didn't go to train at the beach or anything. I stayed here. I wanted to stay around the facility, to make a connection with the coaches but also to get ahead on things.” The second-year WR added that he was “clueless” when he first turned pro. "My biggest things was not repeating what I did last year, coming into the offseason," he said. "I feel like I've mastered that.” The Titans certainly anticipate a big leap forward, as no significant offseason investment arrived at WR or TE. At WR35, Burks is fairly priced in early FFPC ADP.

The Titans have promoted passing-game coordinator Tim Kelly to OC. 2022 was Kelly's first season in Tennessee. He spent the previous 3 years as Houston's OC. Those first 2 Texans teams had middling finishes in points and total yards under QB Deshaun Watson before sinking to bottom-3 levels in 2021 with QBs Davis Mills and Tyrod Taylor. It's not an overly inspiring hire by Tennessee. Expect the offense to again revolve around RB Derrick Henry in 2023.

The Titans have hired Ran Carthon as their GM. Carthon has been the 49ers' director of player personnel the past 6 years and held the same role with the Rams the previous 5 years. At the top of his to-do list this offseason will be figuring out what to do at QB, where 34-year-old Ryan Tannehill carries a $36.6 million 2023 cap hit and Malik Willis is coming off an ugly rookie campaign.

The Titans fired OC Todd Downing. He deployed slow-faced, run-heavy offenses the past 2 seasons. Tennessee sunk from 17th in total yards and 15th in points in 2021 to 30th and 28th this past year. We'll see who the Titans tab to run the offense going forward -- and if that guy will open up the passing game a bit. RB Derrick Henry turned 29 last week, and Tennessee has a couple of intriguing, young talents in WR Treylon Burks and TE Chig Okonkwo.

Titans WR Treylon Burks (groin) is active for tonight’s game vs. the Jaguars. He was added to the injury report on Wednesday and then didn’t practice on Thursday, so it’s tough to believe he’s at 100% for this one. Burks isn't a recommended play outside of Saturday and 1-game DFS contests.

Titans WR Treylon Burks (groin) did not practice on Thursday and carries a questionable injury designation ahead of Week 18 vs. the Jaguars. With QB Joshua Dobbs under center last week, the rookie wideout tallied 4 receptions on 8 targets for 66 yards. Not bad production, all things considered. The Jaguars' defense also ranks as the 10th-best matchup for WRs in adjusted fantasy points allowed this season. That said, it's tough to trust Burks too much in a matchup where the Titans are likely to lean heavily on RB Derrick Henry. Burks is a WR4/deep league flex consideration in Week 18.
