Tests on Bengals TE Tyler Eifert's neck revealed no structural damage, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.  Eifert's Week 13 status is still "in question," per Schefter, but it at least sounds like he avoided a serious injury.  We'll track his status throughout the week leading up to Sunday's game vs. Cleveland.

Bengals TE Tyler Eifert doesn't seem to be worried about the shoulder stinger that knocked him out of Sunday's win over the Rams. “I’m OK,” he told the Cincinnati Enquirer. “There’s protocol with the stinger. I’ve had it before, I’ve dealt with it before. Just want to make sure you get your strength back and feeling back in your arm. Whether I would have come back or not, they just kind of said, ‘All right you’re done, we are not even going to worry about it.’" We'll keep an eye on his status this week, but it seems like Eifert should be available for Week 13's visit to Cleveland.

Bengals TE Tyler Eifert suffered a stinger in the 2nd half of Sunday's game against the Rams.  He was originally deemed probable to return but was then downgraded to doubtful in the blowout.  It's possible that Cincinnati is just playing it safe with its stud TE.  We'll update Eifert's status when we learn more.

Bengals insider Geoff Hobson projects 60-65 catches for TE Tyler Eifert this year.  "Eifert is basically a wide receiver playing tight end," Hobson told Pro Football Focus. "He grew up watching Dallas Clark and he’s a wide receiver playing tight end. When they drafted him, they envisioned him as a 65-catch guy. “  Only 11 TEs reached 60 catches last year, so Eifert would have a good shot at finishing in TE1 territory if he gets to 60-65.  After an injury-wrecked 2014, he's healthy now and impressing in camp.  We're moving Eifert up our TE Rankings.

Bengals TE Tyler Eifert declared himself 100% healthy for the start of training camp.  He added that he feels better than he has at any time since 2014 OTAs.  Eifert was bothered by a bad shoulder last offseason, suffered a dislocated elbow in Week 1 and then underwent shoulder surgery this offseason.  Durability is a concern, as is Cincinnati's run-heavy offense.  Eifert will probably need to emerge as the #2 option in the passing game to emerge as a reliable weekly fantasy starter this season, but that's plenty possibility with Marvin Jones and Mohamed Sanu behind A.J. Green on the WR depth chart.

ESPN Bengals writer Coley Harvey said this week that TE Tyler Eifert has had a "strong spring." The 3rd-year player saw limited action as the team eases him back from the shoulder surgery and dislocated elbow of last season. Harvey said Eifert "caught virtually everything thrown his way during open practices" this spring. Opportunity certainly lies ahead of Eifert in 2015 after the team let TE Jermaine Gresham hit free agency. The receiver group also presents little proven talent beyond A.J. Green. We'll be quite curious to see how Eifert holds up to a more regular workload come the summer. He could certainly move up our rankings with a strong training camp.

Bengals TE Tyler Efiert (shoulder, elbow) has been limited to 7-on-7 and 1-on-1 work in OTAs. It’s not an issue, though. "We're just kind of taking it day to day, just easing back into things," Eifert said. "My shoulder and elbow are cleared 100 percent, but I'm just getting back into things gradually.” It’s a smart approach at this stage in the offseason. Despite a lost rookie season, Efiert remains an intriguing TE1 candidate.

Bengals WR Marvin Jones put in only limited workouts when the Bengals opened OTAs Tuesday. "I'm good. I just have to clear the physical," Jones said afterward, per ESPN.com. Sounds good, but Jones failed the physical last week that would have cleared him for full practice. It's only noteworthy in May because he missed all of last season with foot and ankle injuries. Jones will need to prove this summer that he's all the way back and that we can count on him to stay on the field. More likely, however, he'll remain a late-round option in your fantasy football draft with sizable injury risk. Iffy status for Jones could help the outlooks for TE Tyler Eifert, WR Mohamed Sanu and even RB Giovani Bernard by potentially leaving targets on the field.

Per Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com, TE Tyler Eifert (shoulder surgery) is “on pace to start the first day of training camp.”  The 24-year-old was always expected to be a full participant in camp, but it’s encouraging to see that he hasn’t suffered any setbacks. With plenty of targets up for grabs behind A.J. Green, there’s clear top 10 fantasy upside with Eifert.

The Bengals made Rutgers' Tyler Kroft the 3rd TE off the board by taking him with the 85th overall pick.  The 6'5, 246-pounder is an above-average athlete who can contribute as both a pass-catcher and blocker.  It's unclear exactly how he fits in Cincinnati alongside TE Tyler Eifert, though.  Kroft is a poor bet to make a 2015 fantasy football impact and is only a deep stash in dynasty leagues.

Bengals TE Tyler Eifert recently underwent shoulder surgery.  The shoulder has been bothering him for the past year, according to insider Coley Harvey  Eifert, of course, missed the final 15 games of the 2014 campaign after dislocating his elbow in Week 1.  He admits that he might not be at 100% for OTAs but expects to be a full-go for training camp.  Still only 24 with plus athleticism, Eifert has bounce-back potential and could be a value pick in 2015 fantasy football drafts.

Bengals HC Marvin Lewis admits that TE Tyler Eifert (elbow) might not play again this season.  He dislocated his elbow back in Week 1 and was originally expected to return at some time this month.  It sounds like he either suffered a setback or that his rehab is taking much longer than expected.  We'll continue to keep an eye on Eifert, but he's not worth rostering in redraft leagues.

Bengals TE Tyler Eifert has been placed on short-term IR.  It knocks him out for 8 weeks, so he'll be eligible to return in Week 10.  We wouldn't bother stashing Eifert in any redraft leagues.  His absence will mean more action for TE Jermaine Gresham, but he remains an unexciting fantasy option.  Gio Bernard, Mohamed Sanu and, eventually, Marvin Jones could also see more targets with Eifert sidelined.

Fox Sports' Jay Glazer reports that the Bengals are "hopeful" TE Tyler Eifert will miss just a few weeks.  Eifert dislocated his elbow in Sunday's game against the Ravens, but it supposedly "popped right back in."  Hopefully we'll get a more concrete timetable on Monday.  Eifert was just a fantasy spot starter to begin with, so he's still droppable outside of deep leagues.

"That'd likely put him out for an extended period of time," Breer adds.  We should get a better idea of Eifert's timetable within the next couple days, but he'll be droppable in most fantasy leagues.  Eifert's absence should mean a few extra looks for TE Jermaine Gresham, but he's still an unappealing fantasy option.  WR Mohamed Sanu -- and WR Marvin Jones when he returns -- could be the primary beneficiaries.
