Chargers RB Austin Ekeler (ankle) is listed as questionable for Thursday night's game vs. the Chiefs. He got in limited practices on Tuesday and Wednesday. HC Brandon Staley labeled him a game-time decision, which is a little surprising after Staley expressed little concern about Ekeler's status earlier in the week. We'll find out whether he's playing around 7 pm ET tomorrow. If not, we'd likely see a 3-man committee with RBs Justin Jackson, Joshua Kelley and Larry Rountree. Jackson would be the best fantasy bet -- but just a RB3 or flex play.

Washington WR Terry McLaurin (concussion) did not practice on Wednesday. He has a lot of work to do if he wants to clear the concussion protocol before Sunday's game vs. the Eagles. At this point, fantasy owners should not be counting on McLaurin in Week 15 lineups.

Chargers RB Austin Ekeler (ankle) put in a limited practice on Tuesday. HC Brandon Staley hasn't seem concerned about Ekeler's injury since his post-game press conference on Sunday, and it looks like Ekeler is on track to play vs. the Chiefs on Thursday night. We'll get another update on his status tomorrow.

Chargers HC Brandon Staley called RB Austin Ekeler's ankle injury "nothing major" on Monday. Ekeler was listed as a non-participant on the Chargers' estimated Monday injury report, but Staley said that he expects Ekeler to practice this week. It sounds like we should expect him to play vs. the Chiefs on Thursday night, but check back tomorrow for another update.

Washington has placed DT Jonathan Allen on the COVID list. Allen has actually seen fellow DT Matt Ioannidis pass him in snaps the past 2 weeks. A narrow Week 13 edge gave way to Ioannidis playing 66 snaps to Allen's 46 in Sunday's loss to Dallas. Allen still delivered 1 of his most productive stat lines of the season and would be a significant loss if he can't make it back for Sunday's game against the Eagles. Washington also has 3 DEs already on the COVID list. The return of Montez Sweat could particularly soften the blow of missing Allen. We'll see where the D-line sits heading into the weekend.

Chargers RB Austin Ekeler injured his left ankle in the 3rd quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Giants. He got it taped and was testing it on the sidelines. We'll see if Ekeler is able to re-enter, but the Chargers are up 30 to 7.

Update: Ekeler is officially questionable to return with an ankle injury.

Washington WR Terry McLaurin has been ruled out of Sunday's game vs. the Cowboys with a concussion. It's his 2nd documented concussion. We'll track his progress through the protocol this coming week.

Washington HC Ron Rivera said Monday that he expects DE Montez Sweat (broken jaw) and S Landon Collins (foot) to be cleared to return to practice this week. Sweat has missed the past 4 games with his injury. Collins missed Sunday's win over the Raiders with an injury he suffered late in the previous week's win over Seattle. We'll keep an eye on the statuses of both players through the week, but it seems they'll be back in play for IDP consideration for Sunday's upside matchup with Dallas.

Chargers RB Austin Ekeler (hip) is active for today’s game against the Patriots. He was reportedly sore after Wednesday’s practice, so HC Brandon Staley opted to give him the next 2 days off. It adds some risk to Ekeler’s Week 8 profile. But if you waited on him, get him in your starting lineup. It’s worth noting that RB Joshua Kelley is a healthy scratch, leaving just RBs Justin Jackson and Larry Rountree behind Ekeler. That suggests the Chargers aren’t very concerned about Ekeler.

Chargers RB Austin Ekeler (hip) confirmed to ESPN that he'll play vs. the Patriots today, per Adam Schefter. "Not that there was much of a question," Schefter adds. That makes it sound as if Ekeler wasn't in any real danger of missing this one, despite sitting out practice on Thursday and Friday. He belongs in Week 8 fantasy lineups.

Chargers RB Austin Ekeler posted a picture of his fantasy team to social media on Saturday night ... and Austin Ekeler was in the starting lineup. So he evidently expects to play vs. the Patriots on Sunday. We'll look for a more traditional report on his status tomorrow morning.

Chargers HC Brandon Staley said Friday that he's "hopeful" RB Austin Ekeler (hip) will be able to play vs. the Patriots on Sunday. Ekeler was sore after Wednesday's practice, Staley said, so they decided to hold him out on Thursday and Friday. It's a relatively optimistic report, but Ekeler's Week 8 status remains uncertain. We'll continue looking for updates on the situation. Patriots-Chargers doesn't kick off until 4:05 pm ET on Sunday.

Chargers RB Austin Ekeler (hip) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game against the Patriots. He was added to the injury report on Thursday and didn’t practice on Thursday or Friday. Not a good look. We’ll continue to look for updates on Ekeler’s status. If he misses Sunday’s game, the Chargers would likely deploy a 3-back committee with Joshua Kelley, Justin Jackson and Larry Rountree.

Washington WR Terry McLaurin (hamstring) returned to a full practice on Thursday. It's confirmation that he'l be ready to rock for Sunday's game vs. the Broncos.

Chargers RB Austin Ekeler was added to Thursday's injury report with a hip and did not practice. His availability for this weekend's game against the Patriots is suddenly in question. We'll look for further updates on Ekeler's status and see if he gets back on the practice field tomorrow. If he misses Sunday's game, the Chargers would likely deploy a committee backfield with Justin Jackson, Joshua Kelley and Larry Rountree.

Washington WR Terry McLaurin missed Wednesday's practice and is on the injury report with an ankle. He'd previously been dealing with a hamstring injury. We're guessing that this is more of a maintenance day for McLaurin, but check back tomorrow for another update.

Update: Washington changed McLaurin's injury-report designation to hamstring. He should be fine for Sunday's game.

Washington WR Dyami Brown is expected to miss Sunday's game vs. the Broncos with a "minor" knee injury, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Brown is getting an MRI on Monday, but it sounds like the team expects him back after the Week 9 bye. We'll see if Washington gets WRs Curtis Samuel and/or Cam Sims back this weekend.

6:10pm EDT 10/22/21

The Falcons on Friday placed DE Dante Fowler on IR with a knee injury he suffered back in Week 5 against the Jets. It's not immediately clear how long Atlanta expects him to be out.

Washington WR Terry McLaurin (hamstring) isn't listed on the final injury report. He was a full-go in Friday's practice and will play his usual role against the Packers this weekend. WRs Curtis Samuel (groin) and Cam Sims (hamstring) are out again for Week 7.

Washington WR Terry McLaurin (hamstring) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. He seemingly made it out of last week's loss to the Chiefs without a setback and should be ready for Sunday's game vs. the Packers.
