Eagles TE Dallas Goedert left Sunday's loss to the Cowboys in the 4th quarter with a calf injury. We'll see about his status heading into Week 17. A meaningless regular-season finale might hurt his chances of returning to action.
The Eagles expect TE Zach Ertz to miss 3-4 weeks with the ankle injury he suffered in Sunday's loss to the Ravens, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen. TE Dallas Goedert is eligible to come off IR for Week 7, if his injured ankle is ready. If Goedert isn't ready, then Richard Rodgers would figure to operate as the lead TE for Thursday night's game against the Giants. Ertz can be dropped in shallower fantasy leagues that don't have IR spots. He currently sits just 17th among TEs in PPR points, and Goedert should return before Ertz does, based on Mortensen's timeline.
Update: Adam Schefter adds that it's a high-ankle sprain for Ertz.
Eagles TE Zach Ertz was knocked out of Sunday's game vs. the Ravens with an ankle injury. We'll look for an update on the severity. TE Dallas Goedert (ankle) is eligible to come off IR next week, although it's unclear if he's ready.
NBC Sports' John Clark hears that Eagles TE Dallas Goedert is expected to miss "some time" with the ankle injury he suffered in Week 3. That's obviously a vague report, but it's all we have for now. We'll look for more details, but fantasy owners should plan on being without Goedert for at least Week 4. His absence should mean a nice target boost for TE Zach Ertz.
Eagles TE Dallas Goedert headed to the locker room with an ankle injury in the 1st quarter of Sunday’s game against the Bengals. He’s officially questionable to return. Stay tuned for updates.
Update: Goedert has been ruled out.
Eagles TE Dallas Goedert returned to practice on Sunday, just a few days after suffering a hairline fracture to his thumb. He was sporting a wrap on his left hand, according to The Athletic's Zach Berman. We'll continue to keep an eye on Goedert, but the injury should be a non-factor by the time Week 1 rolls around.
Eagles TE Dallas Goedert suffered a hairline fracture to a thumb in practice this week, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. "It's not a major injury. Could be back with a splint as soon as next week," Pelissero adds. It doesn't sound like Goedert is in any danger of missing the start of the season, but we'll see whether the injury impacts Goedert's ability to catch the football.
Eagles TE Dallas Goedert missed his 3rd consecutive practice day Friday, according to NJ.com's Mike Kaye. The team lists Goedert as "day to day" with an "upper body" injury. So it doesn't sound like a situation we need to worry about for Goedert's fantasy outlook. We'll see how soon Philly's #2 TE returns.
Eagles HC Doug Pederson labeled WR DeSean Jackson (groin) -- along with WR Alshon Jeffery (calf) and TE Dallas Goedert (calf) -- "day to day" in a Tuesday morning radio interview. "It's day to day with these guys and we're going to continue to rehab these guys this week and see where they're at," Pederson added. "I'm not going to commit right now to that (them playing in Week 3) because I want to make sure they put in a full week of practice before we make that determination." We'll keep a close eye on the Eagles' practice reports all week.
The Eagles announced Saturday that TE Dallas Goedert will miss the rest of the preseason after he sustained a calf injury in Thursday night's preseason opener. The injury isn't considered serious, according to Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer, and Goedert's expected to be ready for the regular season. The team has deemed him "week to week" for now. RT Lane Johnson sits in the same category with a knee issue. His status will be worth watching as well, as Week 1 draws closer.
