The Texans selected Michigan TE Marlin Klein with the 59th overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. Klein grew up in Germany playing soccer before moving to the United States in high school to pursue football. A three-star recruit, he landed at Michigan as a raw prospect. He replaced Colston Loveland in 2025, but injuries limited him to a 24-248-1 receiving line. Even so, he ranks among the best athletes in the class. Among the 27 TEs invited to the NFL Combine, Klein ranked fourth in 2025 average depth of target (8.6), and 17th in team market share of receiving yards (13.4%). He ranked 18th in 2025 receiving yards per team pass attempt (1.01) and 12th in yards per route run (1.53).

Texans TE Dalton Schultz (knee, shoulder) is expected to play vs. the Broncos today, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Schultz didn't practice on Wednesday or Thursday but put in a full workout on Friday. The knee and shoulder injuries still add risk to Schultz, who also faces Denver's seventh-ranked TE defense. He's not a recommended fantasy start this week.

And they completed just six passes for the game to WRs not named Collins ... among 49 total pass attempts. TE Dalton Schultz took advantage of the situation, matching Collins' team lead in targets (10) and easily leading all Texans with 9 receptions and 98 yards in the loss.

Texans WR Tank Dell left Saturday's loss to the Chiefs after suffering a serious injury to his left knee. Dell caught a 30-yard TD pass early in the third quarter but landed in clear pain. He left the field in an ambulance with his entire leg being stabilized. HC DeMeco Ryans told reporters after the game that Dell will stay overnight in a Kansas City hospital.

Texans WR Tank Dell is "unlikely" to play vs. the Jaguars this weekend, according to insider Aaron Wilson. Dell is dealing with "painful bruised ribs" suffered near the end of last week's loss to the Vikings, Wilson adds. The injury is not considered long term.

After missing the first two practices of the week, Texans TE Dalton Schultz (ankle) put in a full workout on Friday and is off the final injury report. It looks like he’ll be available for his usual role vs. the Bears on Sunday night. Schultz checks in 12th in the Week 2 TE Rankings.

The role could make him a key contributor in Week 16 against the Browns, who reached Week 15 as the third-best scoring matchup for TEs and third-worst for WRs. Schultz will push for a top-12 spot in our Week 16 TE rankings.

Dalton Schultz has generally dominated playing time and opportunities among Texans TEs, but that wasn't the case in Sunday's loss to the Jaguars. TE Brevin Jordan set season highs in playing time and routes. According to Pro Football Focus, he ran a route on 19 of C.J. Stroud's 47 dropbacks (40.4%). Schultz's mere 47.8% route rate for the game was his second-lowest of the season. It also marked a surprising fall vs. the previous four games, all of which found Schultz running a route on more than 80% of dropbacks. We've seen no report of an injury for Schultz, so we'll keep watch for any explanation of the Week 12 variation. Barring some indication from the team that Schultz will return to his previous usage, he'll make for a shaky play against an improved Broncos defense in Week 13. Jordan, meanwhile, will need to see his usage climb much further before he'll be a fantasy option.

Texans WR Nico Collins (calf) did not practice on Wednesday. No word yet on the severity of the injury or whether Collins is in danger of missing this weekend's game vs. the Bengals. His absence would be a boost for WRs Tank Dell and Noah Brown and TE Dalton Schultz. Check back tomorrow for another update on Collins.

He's no better than a low-end QB2 in Week 2 fantasy lineups, but his availability is good news for Houston's offense.
