The Eagles are elevating RB Dameon Pierce from the practice squad, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports. Pierce joins Will Shipley as the healthy RBs on the active roster. RB Tank Bigsby is on IR, and RB Saquon Barkley is likely to miss at least Week 5.

"It’s not considered to be a long-term injury," Rapoport adds. Barkley is a near lock to miss this weekend's game vs. the Jaguars and should be considered iffy for Week 6. With RB Tank Bigsby (core) heading to IR, Will Shipley is the last RB standing on Philadelphia's 53-man roster. RBs Dameon Pierce and Jaydon Blue are on the practice squad. We'll see what moves the Eagles make this week, but Shipley is a good bet to lead the backfield against Jacksonville, making him at least a RB3 or flex option. Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco is inactive for today’s game vs. the Raiders. That leaves the backfield to Kareem Hunt, Brashard Smith, and Dameon Pierce.

Texans GM Nick Caserio wouldn't say Wednesday whether RB Joe Mixon (foot/ankle) will play at all this year. "We'll see, we'll take it one day at a time," Caserio said. Mixon has been dealing with an injury for much of the offseason, but it was previously reported as a right ankle. It's unclear if this is a separate injury, or if the initial reporting was bad. Regardless, it sounds like Mixon will miss all of training camp, and "there's a chance" he won't available for Week 1, per Rapoport. Mixon "will be re-evaluated closer to the season to determine his availability," Rapoport adds.
