TreVeyon Henderson Will Play Week 2

Patriots RB TreVeyon Henderson (ankle) put in a full week of practice and is off the final injury report. He’ll make his 2026 debut against the Steelers on Sunday. Henderson was behind RB Rhamondre Stevenson in the pecking order all summer and figures to operate as the No. 2 RB this weekend. Consider him a big-play-dependent RB3 or flex play in fantasy lineups.

TreVeyon Henderson A Full Participant Wednesday

Patriots RB TreVeyon Henderson (ankle) was a full-go in Wednesday's practice. He's on track to make his 2026 debut vs. the Steelers this weekend. Henderson was behind RB Rhamondre Stevenson on the depth chart before the ankle injury and is likely to return as the No. 2. That leaves him as just a RB3 or flex option in Week 2 fantasy lineups.

TreVeyon Henderson Sits Out First Official Practice

We've gotten plenty of recent indications that the Patriots might miss RB TreVeyon Henderson for Week 1. Sunday provided the first official injury report of the season, and Henderson missed the workout with his ankle injury. We'll get two more days of practice reports before the team puts out game statuses for Wednesday's opener.

TreVeyon Henderson Still Out With Ankle Injury, Opener in Doubt

Running back TreVeyon Henderson left practice early last Monday with what has been labeled a ‘minor’ ankle injury. But with Mike Reiss reporting that Henderson didn’t practice today, concern is starting to grow that we won’t see him on opening night, which falls on Wednesday for the Patriots. The team will submit its first injury report later today.

TreVeyon Henderson Expected To Be Ready For Week 1

Patriots RB TreVeyon Henderson should be "good to go" for Week 1, a source tells The Boston Globe's Christopher Price. Henderson hurt his right ankle on Monday but avoided a serious injury, according to Price. We haven't moved Henderson in the RB rankings due to the ankle, although he has fallen a few spots this month with consistent reporting that Rhamondre Stevenson will open the season as New England's clear lead back.

Rhamondre Stevenson & Terrell Jennings Limited Tuesday

Patriots RBs Rhamondre Stevenson (toe) and Terrell Jennings (knee) were limited in Tuesday's practice. That gives them both a chance to play vs. the Jets on Thursday night, although we won't be surprised if they're held out on the short week. We'll get New England's final injury report on Wednesday afternoon. RB TreVeyon Henderson will be in for a big workload if Stevenson and Jennings are out.

        Rhamondre Stevenson Still Out Wednesday

Patriots RB Rhamondre Stevenson (toe) won't practice on Wednesday, HC Mike Vrabel said. We still haven't heard any details on Stevenson's injury, but we're assuming it's turf toe, which can be very debilitating. Fantasy managers should not be counting on him playing vs. the Buccaneers this weekend, which would again leave the backfield to TreVeyon Henderson and Terrell Jennings.

Rhamondre Stevenson Out For Week 9

Patriots RB Rhamondre Stevenson (toe) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Falcons. He didn’t practice all week and could miss more time beyond Week 9 depending on the severity of this toe injury. Stevenson’s absence leaves TreVeyon Henderson and Terrell Jennings as the only two RBs on the active roster. RBs D’Ernest Johnson, Rushawn Baker, and Jonathan Ward are on the practice squad. The Patriots have been hesitant to give Henderson a big role so far, but we’d be surprised if he didn’t tally 12+ touches in this one, with a ceiling approaching 20. Consider the rookie a moderate-risk, high-reward RB2 play.

Rhamondre Stevenson Sidelined Wednesday With Toe Issue

Patriots RB Rhamondre Stevenson did not practice on Wednesday and is on the injury report with a toe. We don't have any other details. Stevenson played deep into the fourth quarter of last week's 32-12 win over the Browns. But it's worth noting that the Patriots signed RBs Rushawn Baker and Jonathan Ward to their practice squad on Tuesday. We'll see if Stevenson gets back on the field tomorrow. His absence vs. Atlanta this weekend would likely force RB TreVeyon Henderson into a big role.

New-Look Patriots' Backfield Includes Same Old TreVeyon Henderson

There was hope that last week's season-ending knee injury to Antonio Gibson would free up more playing time and touches for TreVeyon Henderson. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. Henderson played only 19 snaps, his second-lowest total of the season, in the Patriots' 25-19 win in New Orleans. QB Drake Maye led the way for New England, throwing for 261 yards and accounting for 3 TDs in the victory.

Antonio Gibson's Season Is Done After Tearing his ACL

Tests today revealed that Patriots RB Antonio Gibson tore his ACL last night against the Buffalo Bills. Gibson was injured on a kick return in the second quarter and was ruled out quickly. Gibson’s absence will open up more opportunities in the backfield for rookie RB TreVeyon Henderson, who operated as the lead back Sunday night after the Gibson injury.

Antonio Gibson Out With Knee Injury

Patriots RB Antonio Gibson injured his right knee on a kick return in the second quarter of Sunday night's game against the Bills. He was down for a while in obvious pain and was ruled out a short time later. This has the look of a serious injury. Gibson has been part of New England's 3-RB rotation this season, averaging 4.8 carries and 0.5 targets over the first four games. His absence should turn this into a 2-man backfield with Rhamondre Stevenson and TreVeyon Henderson.

        Rhamondre Stevenson Out Wednesday

Patriots RB Rhamondre Stevenson (foot) remained sidelined for Wednesday's practice. HC Jerod Mayo said last week that Stevenson isn't dealing with a long-term injury, but he's certainly not a lock to be available for Sunday morning's game vs. the Jaguars in London. With Stevenson out last week, RB Antonio Gibson handled 13 carries and four targets but mustered just 43 total yards.

Rhamondre Stevenson OUT For Week 6

Patriots RB Rhamondre Stevenson (foot) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Texans. HC Jerod Mayo said Friday that Stevenson isn’t dealing with a long-term injury, so we’ll see if he can make it back for Week 7. His absence this weekend should leave Antonio Gibson as New England’s clear lead back. He’s been good as the No. 2 this year, averaging 5.9 yards per carry and 10.8 yards per catch. Gibson gets a Houston defense ranked ninth in adjusted fantasy points allowed to RBs – and his team is implied for just 15.5 points. But he shapes up as a volume-based RB2 in fantasy lineups.

        Rhamondre Stevenson Sidelined Wednesday

Patriots RB Rhamondre Stevenson missed Wednesday's practice with a foot injury. He got banged up late in last week's loss to the Dolphins but said afterward that he expected to be fine for Week 6. We'll see if he gets back on the field tomorrow. Stevenson's absence against the Texans this weekend would mean a heavy workload for RB Antonio Gibson.

Rhamondre Stevenson Posts Week 3 Dud

Patriots RB Rhamondre Stevenson mustered just 23 scoreless yards in Thursday night's loss to the Jets. He averaged 3.8 yards per carry on his six attempts and was not targeted. Stevenson appeared to suffer a finger injury midway through the second quarter and missed the rest of that possession. But he returned and played the entire second half. His bigger problem was that New England ran just 48 plays and was playing from behind throughout.
