Lions RB Jahmyr Gibbs tallied 90 yards and 2 TDs on 21 carries in Sunday's easy win over the Colts. Gibbs benefited late from RB David Montgomery's third-quarter departure for a shoulder injury. He tallied 48 yards and a TD on 9 carries after Montgomery's last touch for the day.

2024 Fantasy Football Impact

Gibbs ran even with Montgomery in the first half, carrying eight times to Montgomery's seven. He also finished tied with Montgomery at 3 targets. Each guy caught all three, with Montgomery winning on yardage (36-9).

Gibbs had slipped behind Montgomery in touches over the previous four games, so this shoulder issue could help Gibbs' outlook.

Montgomery says he expects to play Thursday against the Bears. But I wouldn't be surprised if he sees a smaller workload.

We'll watch reports on that issue. Both Detroit RBs should remain startable in fantasy when healthy going forward.
