        Caleb Douglas WR MIA

The Dolphins Draft a WR...But It Was a Reach

The Dolphins Draft a WR...But It Was a Reach

The Miami Dolphins selected Texas Tech WR Caleb Douglas in Round 3 of the 2026 NFL Draft. Douglas boasts an enticing combination of size and athleticism. He’s 6’4, 206 pounds with a 4.39-second 40 time, registering a 9.50 Relative Athletic Score. Those gifts never resulted in big college production, though. Douglas totaled just 21 catches across his freshman and sophomore seasons at Florida before transferring to Texas Tech. He finished second on the team in catches (60), receiving yards (877), and TDs (6) in 2024 but averaged a middling 2.00 yards per route. Douglas’ production and efficiency declined this past year. He posted a 54-846-7 line on 1.77 yards per route – 35th among the 49 WRs invited to the Combine. Douglas is a legit vertical threat and flashes plus ball skills. But his hands are inconsistent and can get pushed around by physical CBs. There’s enough here to keep Douglas on the fantasy radar, but he’s a long shot to emerge as more than a spike-week, best-ball target.

Rams WR Davante Adams (hamstring, knee) is listed as doubtful for Thursday night's game vs. the Seahawks. The team is keeping the door open for Adams to play if that hammy makes a big improvement over the next 24 hours, but he's clearly a long shot. It's a huge loss for the Rams' passing game. Adams ranks second to WR Puka Nacua with 60 catches and 789 receiving yards but easily leads the team with 14 receiving scores. Los Angeles is left with WRs Konata Mumpfield, Tutu Atwell, Jordan Whittington, and Xavier Smith behind Nacua. TE Colby Parkinson might be the second-best bet for targets against Seattle. TEs Terrance Ferguson and Davis Allen could also play bigger roles in the passing game.

Rams WR Puka Nacua (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday. We're not expecting him to play vs. the Jaguars this weekend but will continue to keep a close eye on him over the next few days. WR Tutu Atwell (hamstring) got in a limited practice on Wednesday. HC Sean McVay said earlier this week that he expects Atwell back for this one. He'd join Davante Adams and Jordan Whittington as Los Angeles' top three WRs.
