Rams Add Max Klare to an Overcrowded TE Room

The Los Angeles Rams selected Ohio State TE Max Klare in the second round of the 2026 NFL Draft. Klare broke out as a redshirt sophomore at Purdue in 2024, leading the team in all major receiving categories and registering a strong 30.9% dominator rating. His 2.22 yards per route ranked 11th among 85 FBS WRs with 30+ targets. Klare transferred to Ohio State for the 2025 campaign and wasn’t as productive playing behind first-round WR Carnell Tate and future first-round WR Jeremiah Smith. But Klare finished third on the Buckeyes in catches (43) and receiving yards (448). The 6’4, 246-pounder is a well-rounded TE. He ran 47% of his college routes from the slot and 43% inline. Klare creates mismatches with his burst, runs tight routes, and is a serviceable blocker. He doesn’t boast the upside of Kenyon Sadiq or Eli Stowers, but Klare can develop into a fantasy TE1.

Terrance Ferguson Will Play Vs. Bears

Rams TE Terrance Ferguson (hamstring) put in a full week of practice and is off the final injury report for Sunday's Divisional Round game vs. the Bears. We're expecting the rookie to slot in third among Los Angeles' TEs in routes, behind Colby Parkinson and Tyler Higbee.

Terrance Ferguson Questionable For Wild Card Game

Rams TE Terrance Ferguson (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Saturday's Wild Card game vs. the Panthers. He only got in a limited practice on Thursday, after missing Week 18. Ferguson figures to slot in as Los Angeles' No. 3 TE behind Colby Parkinson and Tyler Higbee if he suits up this weekend. If not, Davis Allen will be the 3rd TE.

Davante Adams & Terrance Ferguson Expected Back For Playoff Opener

Rams WR Davante Adams (hamstring) and TE Terrance Ferguson (hamstring) are expected back for Saturday's Wild Card game vs. the Panthers, HC Sean McVay said Monday. Adams has been out since Week 15 but returned to limited practices this past week. McVay said the Rams "erred on the side of caution" in bringing Adams back. "I know it's pissed him off pretty good," McVay added. Ferguson is also expected to play vs. Carolina after missing Week 18. He figures to be the No. 3 TE behind Tyler Higbee and Colby Parkinson.

Terrance Ferguson Now Doubtful For Week 18

Rams TE Terrance Ferguson has been downgraded to doubtful for Sunday's game vs. the Cardinals due to a hamstring injury. He wasn't listed on Friday's final injury report, so the hamstring issue evidently popped up after practice. Ferguson will miss the regular season finale and now looks iffy for at least the playoff opener. TE Tyler Higbee has been activated from IR and will join Colby Parkinson and Davis Allen in the TE room vs. Arizona.

Tyler Higbee Back For Week 18

Rams TE Tyler Higbee (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Cardinals. He put in a full week of practice and is expected to be activated from IR, HC Sean McVay said Friday. Higbee has been out since Week 11 but led Rams TEs in routes (53%) and targets (30) before going down. He makes a crowded Rams TE room even more crowded for Week 18 and the playoffs.

Davante Adams Doubtful For Week 17

Rams WR Davante Adams (hamstring) missed practice all week and is listed as doubtful for Monday night's game vs. the Falcons. It's the same boat he was in last week, before missing the Seahawks game. Adams should be parked on fantasy benches. Look for the Rams' passing game to again feature WR Puka Nacua and the TEs in Atlanta.

Davante Adams Not Expected To Play Week 17

Rams HC Sean McVay said Friday that WR Davante Adams (hamstring) "most likely" won't play vs. the Falcons in Week 17. It's not surprising that Adams will miss multiple games with his hamstring injury. He could also miss Week 18, but we'll keep you updated on his status. The Rams went heavy on '13' personnel with Adams out in Seattle on Thursday night, with TEs Colby Parkinson and Terrance Ferguson tying for second on the team in pass routes, behind only WR Puka Nacua.

Davante Adams Doubtful For Week 16

Rams WR Davante Adams (hamstring, knee) is listed as doubtful for Thursday night's game vs. the Seahawks. The team is keeping the door open for Adams to play if that hammy makes a big improvement over the next 24 hours, but he's clearly a long shot. It's a huge loss for the Rams' passing game. Adams ranks second to WR Puka Nacua with 60 catches and 789 receiving yards but easily leads the team with 14 receiving scores. Los Angeles is left with WRs Konata Mumpfield, Tutu Atwell, Jordan Whittington, and Xavier Smith behind Nacua. TE Colby Parkinson might be the second-best bet for targets against Seattle. TEs Terrance Ferguson and Davis Allen could also play bigger roles in the passing game.

        Tyler Higbee To IR

The Rams placed TE Tyler Higbee on IR with the ankle injury he suffered in the Week 11 win over the Seahawks. He'll miss at least the next four games. Higbee has been leading Los Angeles' four-man TE platoon, running a route on 53% of pass plays this season. His absence frees up opportunities for TEs Terrance Ferguson, Colby Parkinson, and Davis Allen. Ferguson is the most intriguing of the trio but is no more than a deep-league bench stash for now.

Rams Elevating TE Share of Pass Offense

If you watch the Rams regularly, then you might have noticed tight ends occupying more screen time in recent weeks. The team has increased its usage of "13" personnel (three TEs) and significantly increased the number of targets heading toward TEs in recent games. Four Rams tight ends caught at least two passes in Sunday's win over the Saints. Rookie Terrance Ferguson led the group (and ranked third on the team) with 54 receiving yards. Tyler Higbee snagged one of Matthew Stafford's 4 TD passes, Higbee's second scoring catch in three games.

        Tyler Higbee Usable Again?

After missing Week 5 with a hip injury, Rams TE Tyler Higbee returned in Week 6 for a 4-40-1 stat line. He led the team in TE snaps at 66%. TEs Davis Allen (39.6%) and Terrance Ferguson (32.1%) were well behind. With WR Puka Nacua on and off the field throughout the game with injury, Higbee had a solid role while catching all of his targets.
