It was ugly for Packers QB Jordan Love last summer, according to almost all reports, and the team never felt comfortable enough to activate him as the #2 QB on game days. But he's looking better this year -- at least in shorts at OTAs this week. "He’s definitely matured over the course of the year,” HC Matt LaFleur said. “You can tell that he’s put in the time this offseason, not only just lifting and running and coming in in good football shape, but also you can tell he’s put in the time in his craft in trying to continue to work on his mechanics, his fundamentals that are so critical to playing the position at the highest level possible." And from RB Aaron Jones: “You can tell he’s just a lot more comfortable out there, even from communicating in the huddle to the command of the huddle to just everything. He’s had a year under his belt, he’s had time to watch and learn, so you can tell it’s a little bit different from what it was before. He’s going to continue to grow, and I’m happy to be here working with him.” Love will obviously be a downgrade if he's forced to take over for QB Aaron Rodgers this season -- but let's not assume he'll be a complete disaster.
The forecast for tonight's Titans-Packers game calls for temperatures in the low 30s with snow and winds of 10-15 mph with gusts of 25-30 mph. Those are less-than-ideal conditions for the passing games, but we're still expecting plenty of points in this one. The game still has a big 53.5-point over/under. We'd stick with all the regulars from these teams in fantasy lineups.
Packers WR Davante Adams (ankle) isn’t listed on the final Week 11 injury report. He was limited on Wednesday, sidelined on Thursday and limited again on Friday. Even at less than 100%, Adams remains a must-start against the Colts this weekend.
After being limited on Wednesday, Packers WR Davante Adams (ankle) did not practice on Thursday. He was able to play through this injury last weekend. So he either just got a rest day or aggravated the injury on Thursday. We'll hopefully have a better idea of his Week 11 status by Friday afternoon.
Packers WR Davante Adams (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday. He tweaked that ankle in last week's win over the Jaguars but was able to play through it. He should be fine for Sunday's game against the Colts, but we'll keep a close eye on him.
The forecast for today's Jaguars-Packers game calls for sustained winds of 25 mph with gusts up to 50 mph. Temperatures will be in the mid-30s with a chance of snow showers. Those are obviously tough conditions for the passing and kicking games. We've updated our Jaguars and Packers projections.
The forecast for today's Vikings-Packers game calls for 25 mph sustained winds with gusts close to 40 mph. The wind is expected to die down a bit throughout the game. Temperatures will be in the 30s with a wind chill in the 20s. Those are tough conditions for the passing and kicking games. We've lowered our passing projections a bit for both teams and would avoid both kickers in this game.
Packers WR Davante Adams (hamstring) put in a full week of practice and is set to return for Sunday’s game against the Bucs. Lock him back into fantasy lineups.
Packers WR Davante Adams (hamstring) was a full go in Wednesday's practice. He's on track to return for this weekend's game against the Bucs. Adams exploded for a 14-156-2 line in his only full outing this season. He's right back to high-end WR1 status.
Packers WR Davante Adams (hamstring) is officially inactive for tonight's game against the Falcons. He should be back after Green Bay's Week 5 bye. Darrius Shepherd and Malik Taylor figure to operate as the Packers' #2 and #3 WRs tonight.
Packers WR Davante Adams announced via Twitter that he won't play against the Falcons on Monday night. Adams expressed frustration at the team staff holding him out even though he believes he's physically ready to play. His continued absence leaves Marquez Valdes-Scantling as Green Bay's #1 WR, with Darrius Shepherd and Malik Taylor the next 2 up behind him. There should also be more targets available to TEs Robert Tonyan and Jace Sternberger. Perhaps even RBs Jamaal Williams and Tyler Ervin could get more involved, with Aaron Jones running more WR routes. Williams and Ervin should only be in consideration for DFS showdowns.
Packers WR Davante Adams (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Monday night's game against the Falcons after a limited week of practice. HC Matt LaFleur said Saturday that a final decision on Adams probably won't come until pregame warmups. That obviously puts fantasy owners in a tough spot. If you're hoping to use Adams, make sure to have another option from that game, such as Marquez Valdes-Scantling or Russell Gage.
Packers WR Davante Adams (hamstring) put in a limited practice on Thursday. It's a step in the right direction after he missed all 3 workouts last week. Adams has a shot to return for Monday night's game against the Falcons, but we'll get 2 more updates the next couple of days.
Packers WR Davante Adams (hamstring) is inactive for tonight’s game against the Saints. He was reportedly a game-time decision, so he seemingly has a good chance to return for Week 4. Allen Lazard and Marquez Valdes-Scantling will operate as Green Bay's top 2 WRs tonight.
Packers WR Davante Adams (hamstring) is "pushing to play" against the Saints tonight, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. "It’s a longshot but he hasn’t given up," Rapoport adds. It sounds like this might go right up until game time. The late start obviously complicates the situation for fantasy owners. If you're hoping to use Adams, make sure you have a backup plan from the Packers, Saints, Chiefs or Ravens.
Packers WR Davante Adams (hamstring) missed practice all week and is listed as doubtful for Sunday night’s game against the Saints. The team is seemingly hoping he makes a ton of progress over the next 48 hours, but he’s a long shot. Adams should be on fantasy benches for now. We’ll let you know if the situation changes. Adams' absence would leave Allen Lazard and Marquez Valdes-Scantling as Green Bay's top 2 WRs.
Packers WR Davante Adams (hamstring) remained sidelined on Thursday. "Doesn't look great from the feel I get," NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said of Adams' chances of playing against the Saints on Sunday night. Fantasy owners should be looking elsewhere at this point. We'll see if the situation changes.
Packers WR Davante Adams (hamstring) was non-committal when asked Wednesday about his availability for Sunday night's game against the Saints. "It's too early to tell. It's feeling better and making good progress every day. I think we're going to wait it out and see," Adams said. "Will probably be a decision made later in the week." We'll continue to keep tabs on Adams' status.
Packers WR Davante Adams (hamstring) was held out of Wednesday's practice. His injury is reportedly minor -- and this might just be a case of Green Bay playing it safe with the stud receiver. But Adams shouldn't be considered a lock to play against the Saints on Sunday night. We'll get another update tomorrow.
NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports that Packers WR Davante Adams' status for Sunday night's game against the Saints is "TBD." Pelissero confirms that Adams' hamstring injury is "considered minor." We'll keep a close eye on Adams' practice participation this week. The Sunday night kickoff might complicate matters for fantasy owners. Allen Lazard, Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Tre'Quan Smith are potential fill-ins if you plan to start Adams and he ends up inactive.
