The Bears entered a crucial Week 16 rematch with the Packers down two of their top three WRs and needed D.J. Moore to step up. Moore did dramatically, catching a 46-yard TD in overtime as the Bears extended their lead in the tight NFC North race. Moore set a new season-high with 97 receiving yards and tied his best mark with 7 targets.
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
Chicago didn't have Rome Odunze or Luther Burden III available. Their absence resulted in Moore seeing a slight increase in playing time and target share
Moore played 61 of Chicago's 64 snaps (95.3%), his most since hitting 98% in Week 8. His 7 targets matched his highest total since Week 12.
On the surface, it looked like a dominant performance for Moore, but the Packers did a good job defending him in regulation. With three minutes left in the fourth quarter, Green Bay was up 16-9, about to receive a kickoff, and Moore had a mere 5.8 fantasy points.
But the Bears recovered the onside kick and drove 53 yards in 1:35 to send the game into overtime on a Caleb Williams 6-yard TD pass to rookie Jahdae Walker.
Green Bay turned the ball over on downs in their first drive of overtime, and the Bears took over at their own 36.
After a pair of runs, Ben Johnson went big, and Moore made a spectacular contested-catch grab over CB Keisan Nixon for the game-winning score.
Other Winners & Losers
As expected, the Bears used a lot of 12 personnel. TE Colston Loveland played 53 snaps but only caught 3 balls for 30 yards. Cole Kmet was in on 49 snaps and even less involved, catching 2-of-3 targets for 14 yards.
RB Kyle Monangai ranked second on the Bears in catches (3) and receiving yards (43), his most of the season. D'Andre Swift led the team in carries (13) and also caught 2 balls for 12 yards.
Olamide Zaccheaus played 86% of Chicago's snaps but only caught 2 of his 5 targets for 33 yards.
Jahdae Walker out-snapped Devin Duvernay 17-6 playing as the Bears' No. 3 WR. Walker also recorded his first 2 NFL receptions, including the clutch TD in the fourth to send the game into overtime.
We're not expecting Walker to have much of a role once Odunze and Burden are healthy.
