With QB Patrick Mahomes out for the season after tearing his ACL and WR Rashee Rice missing this week with a concussion, the Chiefs offense struggled against a poor Titans’ defense. QB Gardner Minshew left the game with a knee injury in the second quarter forcing the team to turn to QB Chris Oladokun. The team only scored 6 points* for the remainder of the game.

The star for the Chiefs' offense was RB Isiah Pacheco. He only rushed for 8-34-0, but did average 4.3 yards per carry. He also added 6-41-0 through the air on 7 targets.. But the Titans were up 23-9 early in the fourth quarter, forcing the Chiefs to lean more on the pass.
Despite passing the ball more, the WRs and TEs offered little to nothing. Travis Kelce went 1-6-0 on 4 targets while Xavier Worthy went 2-41-0 on 3 targets.
If Oladokun is forced to start the next two weeks, there will be no sense in starting any Chiefs moving forward. They play a tough Denver Broncos defense next week who will be competing for the #1 overall seed. That makes even talents like Kelce worth benching.
Even Pacheco as a desperation play would need PPR receiving volume to pay off. It’s time to close the door on starting the Chiefs.
The Titans surprisingly moved the ball effectively against the Chiefs. RBs Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears combined for 39-207-1 in total touches. Five of those were catches by Spears. Rookie QB Cam Ward also had one of his best games of the season going 21/28 for 228 yards and 2 TDs with no INTs.
The Titans have an intriguing match-up against a surging Saints defense next week. It will probably be better to lean on benching Titans in your championship game, but Pollard could be a desperation play next week.
