The Dolphins are releasing WR Tyreek Hill, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. The move is just one of several by the team this week to clear 2026 cap space. Hill would have had $11 million of his 2026 salary become guaranteed had he stayed on the Miami roster through the end of February. In all, his cap hit would have been $36 million for the coming season.
What They're Saying
Pelissero: "Releasing Tyreek Hill, Bradley Chubb, James Daniels and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine clears $66.98 million and over $56 million in 2026 cap space. One or more could be held until March 11 for additional cap savings. Roster reset underway in Miami."
2026 Fantasy Football Impact
Hill will turn 32 on March 1 and is working back from a torn ACL and knee dislocation. He opened 2025 solidly, with the following receiving lines through four games:
That signaled a potential rebound from his rough 2024. But the devastating knee injury makes it tough to bet on Hill returning to form in 2026.
And that he's heading into his age-32 season makes it tough to count on such a return beyond 2026.
We'll see where Hill lands and watch for updates throughout the offseason on his knee recovery.
He sits 63rd among WRs in early best ball ADP, going in the middle of Round 13. That's a fair level for Hill.
