TE Dallas Goedert has agreed to a one-year extension with the Eagles. That keeps him around through 2026 rather than allowing the veteran to hit the open market. The two sides seemed to be working toward this end, with both agreeing twice to delay a contract clause that would have forced an earlier decision to avoid a $20 million cap hit for the coming season.
What They're Saying
NFL Network's Mike Garafolo: "It was a complicated process for the last week but Goedert wanted to stay and the sides found a way to make it work. ... The Eagles were managing Dallas Goedert and A.J. Brown simultaneously the last week. Brown's situation remains fluid. No changes on that front. Goedert had other options on the table but pushed his contract void back twice to keep Philly alive for him."
2026 Fantasy Football Impact
Goedert hit a career-high 60 catches last season, but that came mainly because he missed less time than the previous few seasons. His career-high 11 TDs also gave his fantasy numbers a huge boost.
The 4.0 receptions per game actually marked a slight dip vs. 4.2, 4.2, and 4.6 the previous three campaigns. Goedert also went for a career-low 9.9 yards per catch, despite an average target depth that beat the previous three years.
The struggling offense of now-deposed OC Kevin Patullo probably contributed, but Goedert also just turned 31 in January.
He should remain a fine fantasy play in 2026, not a real difference maker.
Projected ADP Movement
Expect Goedert's best-ball ADP to rise from his current TE15 spot in Underdog Fantasy drafts ... but he might not.
He's a fine pick anywhere around there.
