Tyler Warren Headshot

A few days ahead of the Colts’ second preseason game, Tyler Warren left practice with what appeared to be a groin injury, according to ESPN's Stephen Holder. Shortly after, Holder followed up: “He’s now back with teammates on the sideline, still in uniform, but without a helmet,” suggesting it doesn't seem to be a major injury.

2026 Fantasy Football Impact: The Scare Looks Minor

Warren entered the league with relatively high expectations after being selected 14th overall out of Penn State. He was coming off a collegiate season where he was the only tight end to post at least 20.0 PPR fantasy points per game (PPG) in a power conference.

He surpassed those initial expectations by becoming just the fourth rookie TE to post at least a 20% target share. That helped him to an impressive 13.2 PPG, a mark topped by only five rookie TEs before him.

Warren enters his third season projected as one of the highest scorers at the position, but he'll need to stay healthy to accomplish that.

The injury does appear minor, but it's worth monitoring for a player this impactful.
