Jaylen Waddle Headshot

Just days after returning to practice from a leg injury, Jaylen Waddle is already starring again. Broncos beat reporter Zac Stevens said Bo Nix hit Waddle for a 60-yard touchdown, and Sean Payton added afterward that Waddle is “doing good.”

2026 Fantasy Football Impact: Denver's Top Receiving Option

Despite some health concerns entering the league out of Alabama, Waddle delivered a healthy tenure for the Dolphins, missing only six games across his five seasons there.

Entering 2026, he holds a low injury risk tag courtesy of the Draft Sharks Injury Guide. After averaging one injury per season, he comes in with a per-game injury risk of 3% while being projected to miss just 1.5 games.

Waddle arrives as the Broncos' expected top receiving option after posting at least 2.00 yards per team pass attempt in three of the past four seasons. Fewer than 20 wide receivers hit that mark last season.

There’s clearly an emphasis on building rapport between Waddle and Nix, and the early returns are promising.
