ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports that Buccaneers RB Sean Tucker has agreed to a one-year contract worth a guaranteed $2.5 million. He had been set to make $3.52 million on the restricted free-agent tender he signed in April.

What the heck does it mean when a RB signs a late-August contract for $1 million less than the pact he signed about four months earlier?
It most likely means the Bucs were going to cut him without a pay cut and that Tucker chose guaranteed money in a familiar offense over testing that open market.
Practically, it doesn't change anything for his fantasy outlook. Tucker has looked like no more than the No. 3 RB for Tampa Bay, and this confirms that placement -- behind Bucky Irving and Kenneth Gainwell.
Tucker's best hope when all three are healthy will be to claim a meaningful share of work near the goal line. You shouldn't expect any fantasy relevance unless Irving goes down (at least).
Tucker will be set to hit unrestricted free agency after this season.
