NFL Network's Ian Rapoport calls a 2-4 week absence the "best-case scenario" for Buccaneers QB Baker Mayfield. He dislocated his right thumb in Sunday's loss to the Vikings and is scheduled for additional testing today. Rapoport adds that Mayfield could be out longer depending on the damage to the ligaments in his thumb. We should learn more about his status today, but it looks like it'll be Jalon Daniels under center for at least the next couple of weeks. The undrafted rookie can run, amassing over 1,400 rushing yards across 6 college seasons, but has a long way to go as a passer. He completed just 61.5% of his college passes at 7.8 yards per attempt. Expect a run-heavy attack from the Bucs with Daniels under center, making all the team's pass catchers shaky fantasy bets.
