RB Theo Riddick carried once and was targeted once over the same span. According to Pro Football Focus' Nathan Jahnke, Abdullah out-snapped Riddick 20 to 8 in the 1st half. It was extremely encouraging usage for Abdullah. If he can even get 15 or so touches per game this season, he's a good bet to score as an RB2.

But Birkett clearly expects Abdullah to be busy in both the running and passing games this season.
