Broncos OLB Von Miller (ankle) is questionable for Sunday's game against Washington. He missed practice all week, though, despite the longer break after playing Thursday night in Week 7. It was reported after he got hurt in Cleveland that Miller appeared likely to miss team. We'd try to not use him in IDP lineups this week even if active.

The Broncos on Monday acquired LB Kenny Young from the Rams. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Denver also sent a 6th-round pick in 2024 in exchange for Young and a 7th-rounder in 2024. The Broncos have endured numerous injuries at ILB, including losing both season-opening starters -- Josey Jewell and Alexander Johnson -- for the year. Young will obviously enter the mix at that spot, but we'll have to see whether he takes the playing-time lead from Justin Strnad. Denver gave up very little to acquire Young, who had clearly fallen out of favor with a Rams team that's also weak at ILB. Back in L.A., Troy Reeder figures to remain the playing-time leader at the position. No other non-edge LB has played more than 45 total snaps for the Rams so far this season.

Broncos OLB Von Miller hurt his left ankle in the 1st half of Thursday night's game against the Browns. He's questionable to return.

Update: The team has now ruled Miller out for the game.

Broncos LB Alexander Johnson will miss the rest of the season after suffering a torn pectoral muscle Sunday against the Raiders. Johnson will hit free agency in the spring, ahead of his age-31 season. Denver is now down to Justin Strnad and Micah Kiser as the top 2 ILBs.

Broncos LB Alexander (A.J.) Johnson will have an MRI today to determine the extent of a chest injury that knocked him out of Sunday's loss to the Raiders, according to Mike Klis of 9News in Denver. We'll update his status when more comes out.

Broncos S Kareem Jackson (back) is active for today’s game against the Raiders

Broncos S Kareem Jackson (back) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Raiders. We'll check his status Sunday afternoon.

Broncos CB Patrick Surtain II is active for today's game against the Steelers. CB Ronald Darby -- who came off IR Saturday -- is inactive.

The Broncos activated CB Ronald Darby from IR Saturday, making him eligible to play Sunday at Pittsburgh. The team said earlier in the week that if Darby returned, he would play limited Week 5 snaps. Expect that role to grow beyond Sunday’s game, though

Broncos D-linemen Dre'Mont Jones (calf) and Shelby Harris (wrist, illness) are active for today's game against the Ravens.

Broncos DL Dre'Mont Jones (calf) and Shelby Harris (wrist, illness) are questionable for Sunday's game against the Ravens. We'll check their statuses Sunday afternoon, but neither is a high-profile IDP option.

Broncos OLB Bradley Chubb had surgery Wednesday to remove a bone spur from his left ankle. He's expected to need 7-8 weeks to recover but plans to play again this season. While he's on IR, expect Malik Reed to get primary playing time opposite Von Miller. Reed is an upside matchup play for sack-friendly IDP scoring formats while he's in the lineup.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Broncos LB Josey Jewell tore a pectoral muscle in Sunday's win over the Jaguars and will miss the rest of the season. That let's Justin Strnad step into the starting lineup and makes him a deep-league option for IDP rosters. Alexander Johnson, meanwhile, should see his scoring floor rise as a better bet to lead the position in playing time.

Broncos OLB Bradley Chubb (ankle) is active for today's game against the Jaguars. Don't be surprised, though, if his snaps are limited in his 1st action of the season.

ESNP's Adam Schefter reports that Broncos OLB Bradley Chubb (ankle) will "probably" make his season debut against the Jaguars today. Chubb is officially questionable with what has been a lingering issue since offseason surgery. We'd try to wait at least a game before popping him into IDP lineups. It's tough to know how big a role Chubb will play right away. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport says it's a "game-time decision."

Broncos OLB Bradley Chubb (ankle) is inactive for today's game against the Giants. Malik Reed figures to pick up the most snaps in Chubb's absence.

Broncos OLB Bradley Chubb (ankle) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Giants. He returned for limited practices Thursday and Friday after missing Wednesday's workout. Ian Rapoport reports that Chubb isn't likely to play his full role even if he's active for the game. Chubb is still working back from May ankle surgery.
