Bucs WR DeSean Jackson (thumb) is out again for Sunday’s game against the Ravens. WR Chris Godwin saw another 10 targets with D-Jax out last week. So despite that 1-catch dud — and a tough matchup this week — Godwin remains a WR3 option.

Bucs WR DeSean Jackson (thumb) remained sidelined on Wednesday. He told The Athletic's Greg Auman that he's still unable to grip a football -- which is kinda important for a WR. Don't expect Jackson to play against the Ravens this weekend.

Bucs WR DeSean Jackson (thumb) missed practice all week and is out for Sunday’s game against the Saints. That again makes Chris Godwin a WR2 with upside and also gives WR Adam Humphries a slight bump in his target projection.

Buccaneers WR DeSean Jackson didn't practice Wednesday because of the left thumb injury that kept him out of Week 13. Chris Godwin owners certainly wouldn't mind if Jackson continues to miss game time. The 2nd-year wideout has reached 98 receiving yards in all 3 games he has played without Jackson active to date.

Bucs WR DeSean Jackson (thumb) is out for Sunday's game against the Panthers. He's played 54% of the offensive snaps and averaged 6.4 targets per game, so this is a significant loss. Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Adam Humphries and Cameron Brate should all pick up an extra target or 2. Godwin, who's playing time has yo-yoed all season, is the biggest winner.

Bucs WR DeSean Jackson had a cast on his left thumb at Thursday's practice, insider Rick Stroud reports. D-Jax was on the practice field but not catching passes. It's unclear if he'll try to play through the issue against the Panthers this weekend, but he'll obviously be a high-risk fantasy start if he does. WRs Chris Godwin and Adam Humphries will benefit from a limited or sidelined Jackson.

Bucs WR Chris Godwin (ankle) missed his 2nd straight practice on Thursday. He now seems in real danger of missing this weekend's game against the Giants. WR DeSean Jackson would get the biggest playing-time boost if Godwin sits. Mike Evans, Adam Humphries and O.J. Howard would also pick up some extra targets.

Bucs WR Mike Evans (knee) did not practice on Wednesday. We noticed him get shaken up late in the OT loss to the Bengals, but we never got an update from the team. We'll continue to monitor his status throughout the rest of the week If Evans can't play against the Panthers on Sunday, Chris Godwin and DeSean Jackson would turn into every-down players.

Bucs WR DeSean Jackson has requested a trade, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. D-Jax has been part of a WR rotation behind Mike Evans this season, playing just 50.4% of the offensive snaps. Tampa is reportedly inclined to hang on to Jackson, but we'll see if that changes before Tuesday's trade deadline. WR Chris Godwin would be a big winner if Jackson is dealt.

Bucs WR DeSean Jackson (concussion, shoulder) is active for today’s game vs. the Eagles. The shoulder issue adds some risk to his outlook, but there’s plenty of upside here for D-Jax against his former team.

Bucs WR DeSean Jackson (concussion, shoulder) is expected to play vs. the Eagles today, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. D-Jax is coming off a big 5-146-2 line in the opener and will have plenty of motivation against his former team today. Consider Jackson a risk/reward WR3 for Week 2.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the Buccaneers expect WR DeSean Jackson to clear the concussion protocol in time to play Sunday against the Eagles. We'll obviously watch for confirmation before the 1 p.m. ET kickoff. Jackson's return would cloud the outlook of Chris Godwin a bit, but Godwin actually played more snaps than Jackson in Week 1 -- despite Jackson putting up the huge game. Both would be in play for fantasy. Jackson's return does lower Godwin's ceiling, though.

Bucs WR DeSean Jackson (concussion, shoulder) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game against the Eagles. He put in a full practice on Friday, though, suggesting that he’s likely to play. We’ll find out for sure by noon ET on Sunday. If Jackson is active, both he and Chris Godwin will be risk/reward WR3 options.

Bucs WR DeSean Jackson (concussion, shoulder) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. It gives him a shot to play against the Eagles this weekend. We'll see what he's able to do in Friday's workout.

Bucs insider Greg Auman reports that WR DeSean Jackson injured his shoulder in Sunday's win over the Saints. That'd be in addition to the concussion that knocked him out of the game in the 4th quarter. It's unclear when the shoulder injury occurred and exactly how serious it is, but Auman considers D-Jax a "major question mark" for this weekend's game against the Eagles. His absence would leave Chris Godwin as the clear #2 WR.

Bucs WR DeSean Jackson sustained a concussion in the 4th quarter of Sunday's win over the Saints. It was a disappointing end to a big day that saw D-Jax haul in all 5 of his targets for 146 yards and 2 scores. We'll track his progress through the protocol this week. Jackson's absence would mean more snaps for WRs Chris Godwin and Adam Humphries.

The Bucs "plan to start" WR Chris Godwin, according to the Tampa Bay Times' Rick Stroud. "Starter" labels are blurry in an increasingly matchup-based NFL. And most teams run plenty of 3-WR sets. But this is an especially important distinction in Tampa, where the Bucs figure to have 2 TEs (Cameron Brate and O.J. Howard) and 2 WRs on the field a lot of the time. According to Stroud, Godwin is in line to start on the outside opposite Mike Evans. DeSean Jackson has been working in the slot when the Bucs go with 3 WRs. This is the best way for Tampa to get its best 3 wideouts on the field -- but it'd still be a knock to Jackson's fantasy value and a boon to Godwin's. We'll be keeping a close eye on this 1st-team offense in preseason action over the next few weeks. But Godwin, who's going 2-and-a-half rounds later than Jackson in drafts, looks like the better value right now.
